Have you ever lost your phone? Then your heart starts racing, and then you become stressed out. Where can it possibly be? You look all over the place, this will cause you to be very conscientious. Having your cell phone gives you a sense of security and confidence throughout the day. Knowing if things go wrong, missing the school bus for example, you have your phone to call your parents. According to Dictionary.com, the word phobia means, “ A persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it.” Unfortunately, we are so paranoid about not having our phone that in today’s society we have a phobia called nomophobia. Nomophobia is the fear of not having your cell phone. Do not have it control your life. Your cell phone does not dictate how you ought to live. It should not control you. According to articles.latimes.com, you should just simply leave your cell phone at home. Staying away from your phone will also allow you to interact with others a lot more. Do not underestimate yourself, and always ask yourself is it better to have my phone turned off right now or should I use it. When asking this, think about it carefully and make the right choice. For example, if I was at an important meeting, I would ask the question and the right thing to do would be to keep the cell phone turned
