One hot summer day in mid July, me and my brother juan took our brand new bass tracker boat out to a lake near our house. The lake we went to was called lake brewer,The lake was full of fish and the crappie, bass, bream, and catfish were on the bite. When we first pulled up on the lake we unhooked and checked to make sure the boat was ready to put in the water. When it was all set my brother started the truck and backed the boat up into the water until it was floating away into the lake. We then realized that the rope had broken and the boat was floating away. I then took my pants, shirt, sock and shoes off and dove into the water and started swimming. I didn't realize how deep the water had gotten and i slowly began to cramp up in my leg!. …show more content…
They grabbed me and pulled me up to the surface and chucked me into the boat. They all yelled at me to get out of there lake. So i grabbed my fishing pole and tied a treble hook on the line. I then threw the treble hook into the water and snagged one of the mermaids. I didn't know where to put it so i crammed it into the livewell. i started the boat and picked my brother up from the boat launch and told him what had happened. He was surprised that i had killed a mermaid, and he suggested we should sell it on ebay. We loaded the boat up and headed to my house to look up how much a mermaid cost. When we posted on mermaid online millions of people wanted to buy it. We didn't know what to do so we put of a 1 billion dollar bid beside the picture of the mermaid. Before we knew it president Obama showed up on my door step and bought the mermaid in cash. We asked what he was going to do with it and he said he was going to mount it inside the white house on the wall. Obama left after he gave us the money and we couldn't believe we had 1 million dollars. We went to bass pro shop and bought the whole building. After that we bought a lake and a
But then we found this little water fall the lead to a big pond. The bast part was the water was the clearest I had ever seen. So we didn 't have to defect it or anything. All of us were really thirsty. We were at that water hole for a half hour until everyone was filled up with water and we saved some in are water bottles so we could have more if that was the only one we found in the forest.
I smiled to myself and decided that I would go join in. With that, I took a huge deep breath and jumped into the salty water. The water was cool and refreshing; I felt it slide through my hair making it sway in the water. I swam deeper and deeper into the deep blue water. Sunlight streamed through it, lighting up the water around me turning it to gold. I kicked harder and I felt my muscles surge with strength and I pushed further. My lunges began to burn for the need of oxygen, but I refused to go up. I repeatedly told myself just a little bit longer. Until I was unable to proceed anymore without more air in my lungs, I swam to the top of the water taking a huge breaths, filling my lungs with air. I could then taste the salty water as it ran down my face and dripped over my lips. Just then I thought, I will never forget this moment, this place, or the experiences I felt while visiting
...trength completely fails and he lets go and starts to drown and sink. to not save him but to continue to paddle and get to safety. I hold back tears with fire and brimstone and I start to paddle as if the devil were behind us even though I am feeling drained as well. After about another hour or so it seems we start closing in and my father feels sand brush his feet. We both let out a huge sigh of relief as my father finally touches the bottom. still being about a quarter mile from the shore we do sort of a “Island hop” with the sand patches and we make our way back from where we came. Once we get back we decide thats enough beach for the day and go home. Feeling victorious and defeated at the same time I still hold a scar within me. and within that scar there is a small dark hole within me that is afraid of the ocean. And to this day I fear I will forever be afraid.
My first fishing experience was with my dad and my older brother when I was seven. Driving up to the creek, walking through the muddy path on the twisting dirt road. I could feel my dad’s pride
Once upon a time, deep under the water, there lived a small beautiful mermaid. She was fascinated with the world above her. Nothing would make her happier than to see what it would be like to live among the humans. One day, she rescued a prince from a shipwreck. She fell hopelessly in love with the dashing young Prince. The little mermaid sold her voice to the Sea Witch and traded her gorgeous tail for legs. Though his love for the little mermaid, the Prince could not marry her, he was betrothed to maiden in another kingdom. This broke the little mermaid’s heart so she gave up her life on land and in the sea.
It was a warm rainy June night the humidity was high which made it even harder to breathe on the crammed boat. My family was asleep on the constantly rocking boat suddenly the boat shook, but my family was still fast asleep. I couldn’t seem to fall asleep so I got up and stepped out on the cold wet steel boats upper deck to get some air. When I got outside I realized that it was pouring bucket sized rain. I saw increasingly large waves crash furiously against the lower deck. Hard water droplets pelted my face, I could taste the salt water in my mouth from the spray of the ocean. Suddenly A massive wave slammed hard against the ship and almost swallowed the boat. Wind gusts started kicking up. I held onto the rail grasping it as if it were my prized possession. Suddenly I was blown
When we got to the lake we put the fishing tackle in the boat and then we went and started fishing for lake trout. We had to put two hundred feet of string down with a minnow on it. We had the minnow on a hook called a cow bell, it had bright neon colored beads on it so the fish were able to see it in that dark water. We were allowed to catch and keep 3 fish. I caught 2, Luke caught 3,
“Ok, let's get you set” he said. He got me set up and I hopped in the water. He passed me the rope and said “good luck.” I got into position, held the rope tight and yelled “Ready!" dad stepped on it, the force of the boat was too much and I let go.

I made my way quickly to the top deck again so that I could try to make it onto a lifeboat. The only people left on the ship were men, who were sitting on the floor, crying. I asked a man what was happening, and why everybody was crying.
Many people see hunting and fishing as the slaughtering of innocent animals for no reason other than sport and fun. However, the truth is, hunting and fishing are beneficial to people, environments, and the economy. Hunting and fishing are beneficial to the economy because they cause a major economic impact. Hunting and fishing are beneficial to environments and people because they reduce damages done by wildlife overcrowding. Hunting and fishing are also beneficial to people because they provide a healthy, affordable source of food.
When everybody left to get cake, I had to clean up the swimming toys. Because one toy was in the middle of the deep end of the pool, I dived into the water. I picked it up and tried to swim up. My hair was stuck to the ladder! I didn’t know what to do! Running out of oxygen, I tried to yell for help.
This weekend my family is going out to dinner to celebrate my mom's 43rd birthday. We plan on going to Granite City in St. Cloud. After my father shall drive us to our fishing spot for fishing opener. We will start fishing for catfish that are as slavish as earthworms. Walleye and Pike are not open until 12 at night, that is pretty late for me. We like to use shrimp for bait, expensive I know. At midnight we will start casting for Walleyes with rustic lures, Walleyes always seem to be intimidating us with their soul piercing eyes. Fatigue consumes us before that though, we are not late night people. Since our family has done so great at our fishing spot, therefore i'm not allowed to give away the spot so secret the FBI does
My dad said to me that I could take the net if I wanted to, but he wasn’t going to carry it all the way to our fishing spot. I took the net anyways and carried it with me on the concrete path leading to our spot that was so hot that the top layer of this concrete had become an odd blackish goo that stuck to your shoes. We had finally arrived at our spot. It was an abandoned marina that not a lot of people knew about. We had made a makeshift motorboat out of our two small kayaks and a small Suzuki motor, it was the only boat in the
The adventure began with a cold winter morning in florid, Uncle Bob and I decided to head out to his secret spot, the dive site was roughly 100ft and a Spanish Galleon laid rest. My dad dropped me off at the boat dock where I met up with Uncle Bob. We did a gear check to make sure we had everything to complete our dive. After the gear check, we headed out, after a couple
