The bell rang, a first day, a first start for the next 13 years, I would be going to this thing my parents were trying to explain to me. This thing everyone congratulated me for graduating preschool and now moving on. A fresh start, now I had to go away from everything I knew. I really didn’t understand, let alone trying to spell this monstrosity called “school” was a mess. Being that kid that woke up and said “first day of school!” was never me, I was that kid that was a bit scared and a bit petrified. But I remember the day I walked in this thing called a classroom. It was a new room and a new atmosphere, almost a whole new world. But, then all of a sudden this huge giant stood in front of me. Not even realizing what was going to happen or what she was going to say to me. Thinking, maybe I did go to a new world and all of a sudden a giant was towering over me right in front of me, like the new worlds my mom would always read to me at night right before I went to bed. I didn’t know who she was or what she was going to do. All of a sudden, in the most gentle way she went down to my level and said “You must be Alexander? I’m Mrs. Hastings, I’m your kindergarten teacher!” “Now if you want to go sit on that circle carpet over there with your friend...Jacob then I will meet you guys over there.” I was so confused, but I didn’t worry too much like the giant said, I had my best friend on my side.
But as I went through the school year Mrs. Hastings was pretty cool. But trying to impress 5 and 6 year olds well lets just say that isn’t the hardest thing to do. Anyone can do it just throw a few holiday parties and then give out tons of candy and bam you get an Oscar for being the best teacher in the world! Trust me Mrs. Hastings threw the b...

...Now that I look back, I am glad Mrs, Hastings taught me these truths. Almost on the horizon of college and taking harder classes as the school year goes by. It is something I keep in the back of my mind so I don’t get discouraged and that I keep trying. But for teaching me and make a difference in my life, beating cancer, and being herself has been why she should be inducted into the Lincoln County Hall of Fame. Yes, I know she didn’t ride a bull for eight seconds, but to me she was the bull by conquering cancer for 8 months. But that giant 12 years ago, turns out she was a teacher that made a huge impact on me and will make me remember so much and to try and strive for everything that’s in my reach. But for many more reasons that are unknown Mrs. Hastings will be the best teacher that will ever make an impact on me.

Mrs. Bertha Flowers taught Angelou reading material, to have pride in who she is, and to speak up. She turned into the amazing woman we all learn about and know of today. I identify in my personal life having someone I looked up to myself so, I can relate. For my future I could see myself doing the same from all the professors I come to meet that I can take with me as time goes by. In reading such I've pondered about how much of an impact one person can make on your
I walked in and my stomach made a flip-flop like riding “The Scream” at Six Flags. Everyone was staring at me! With their curios eyes and anxious to know who I was. I froze like ice and felt the heat rise through my face. My parents talked to my teacher, Ms.Piansky. Then my mom whispered “It’s ti...
Mrs. Plot, one of the hardest English teachers in Murray County High School, was my teacher that year. She was a very determined and driven teacher that did not tolerate her students to fail her class, even if they were lazy. I had heard horror stories from her former students, but she was nothing like they said she was. She was the only teacher that I have connected with all throughout school. I looked forward to her class every morning because she always made learning fun. Mrs. Plot gave out good advice about English, but she also gave me personal advice and was more of a friend to me. She always knew what to say to me when I had problems. She motivated me to do better with my writing; we went to a journalism class together every week that year. Mrs. Plot deepened my love for reading and writing. Without her, I would not be the kind of student I am today. On every assignment in her class, I got the most feedback and it helped me out a lot. It took me a long time to become a decent writer, but with her help she sped up the process. I put all of my effort in every single paper I have written, especially for her
As we arrived, my stomach started to turn inside out, and I wasn’t sure why, but I knew when that happens I turn into a nervous wreck. They sat me in the hallway as they chattered about me I was assuming. On our bumpy car ride home, my parents stopped through an ice cream shop, knowing that’s a way to cheer their little boy. They sat me down and told me about how the teacher is concerned with my low-level reading and writing skills. It bothered me very much, that the teacher had never said anything to me one on one. My parents told me that I might be held back, and to stay positive and don’t let this bring you down. This caused so much confusion and discouragement for a seven year old boy. I was still in discomfort after the day reading because of how the kids laughed when I read my
...and very impressionistic, but they easily become bored and discouraged. By integrating exciting lesson plans and activities into the curriculum, I will show all of my students how much fun learning can be. Teachers are bright, charismatic, friendly, honest, organized, polite, caring, involved, reinforcing, well spoken, encouraging, firm, reliable, intelligent, and understanding people. These characteristics describe the kind of teacher that I will be. I want nothing more in the world, but to see a child achieve beyond their set limits and expectations. They are precious gifts that need care and understanding. So many people come in and out of our lives, but teachers are the ones that leave a everlasting impression and mold the future of our society.
Along with finding my passion for theater, I also found one of my favorite teachers during my time in Junior High. His name was Mr. Rodrigue, and he was my homeroom and science teacher for both seventh and eighth grade. He was one of the first teachers that was every real with me. He was a very open and honest teacher who treated his students like adults. Mr. Rodrigue had this wit and sense of humor that made him more personable than any of my other teachers. I loved how he gave everyone in our homeroom nicknames, for instance, mine was “Higgy-Baby”. To this day I do not know how he came up with a name like that, but I know that while I was in his classroom, I was never called just Alyssa. While I learned many new and interesting things in his science class, I remember more of the life lessons that he taught during homeroom. He was one of the teachers that was there for me when life got rough, he looked out for me during and outside of class. For me, knowing that I had him keeping an eye out for me made me feel

Who has had the greatest influence on your life? For many of us, a special teacher probably comes to mind. B. Throughout my career as a student, many teachers have come and gone and have been loved and others not so much, but none have had a greater impact then Mrs. Story, my third grade English teacher. C. Summer break was over, and it was the time to go back to school to my eleventh grade. School for me wasn’t that different as my summer break. I never felt like not going to school after a long summer break because I used to have a lot of fun in school. School for me was a place where you would socialize, gossip, brag, drive attention, miss conduct, daydream, text students, sing, ask silly questions and flirt with girls. I think now you know how my days at school used to be. However, a day has come that I would not expect it to come at all. I suddenly became a much disciplined student that I would not do anything out of the way. It all happened when I meet my new physics professor Jamal Betar who has wonderful qualities that amaze him from other teachers, and he also gave me the true meaning of education that I have never thought of before in my life.
her style of teaching was old fashioned and was boring, as per nowadays students are more likely
Mrs. Ladd was not the most popular, funniest, hardest, easiest, nicest, nor the meanest teacher. I remember her for some other reasons. When I think of Mrs. Ladd, I think about how hard she made me work. But I also think about how she challenged me. Most of all, I remember how she influenced me.
“One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.”
It was finally the first day of school; I was excited yet nervous. I hoped I would be able to make new friends. The first time I saw the schools name I thought it was the strangest name I’ve ever heard or read, therefore I found it hard to pronounce it in the beginning. The schools’ floors had painted black paw prints, which stood out on the white tiled floor. Once you walk through the doors the office is to the right. The office seemed a bit cramped, since it had so many rooms in such a small area. In the office I meet with a really nice, sweet secretary who helped me register into the school, giving me a small tour of the school, also helping me find
When I was growing up, I remember attending elementary school, learning a new language seems to be difficult at first, but I was able to learn the English language because of the dedication of one of my teachers. Now, as I reflect on this experience, it is obvious that she was dedicated and enjoyed teaching her students to be successful. I know today that she made a difference in my life as I navigated through my education experience and high school years to present.
It was just another day of my life. The fourth ring of my alarm woke me up. As usual, I was not feeling to go in school. I slept a couple of more minutes. After while, the shine of the sun coming from the window woke me up.I slowly stretched my arms and slid out of bed. I brushed my teeth and took the shower. Downstair,my mother was calling me for breakfast.I was still undecided what should wear for school. After browsing for while I found something to wear, and finished getting myself ready for school. When I checked the clock, I was running late as usual, which was not a surprised. I quickly ate my half sandwich and left the rest of the sandwich on the table.I took my car key, jump in my black Lexus and made my way to school.During my way to school, I got a call from my friend John. John is my best friend since when we were in middle school. He told me that his car was broke down and he needed to ride to school. Fortunately, my friend house on my school way. I told my friend. I am on my way to pick you up from your house. As I got there, john come out from his house and jumped in my car. With sound of Drake singing and music blasting, it was a
