Every time we read a book we need to feel some type of connection. There has been times when I cannot stop reading a fascinating book, it is like you have been attracted by magnet and the metal is the book. That book I cannot put down. In the other hand, when you are the person who is writing the story it can be challenging to write with emotion. Writing has always been a challenge to me, it is a hard assignment for me because I have never considered myself a writer. I simply have trouble putting my thoughts into writing. Figuring out what to write is my main problem, I might have many ideas but I have trouble with putting paragraphs and sentences in the right order. I need to stop overthinking and start writing. Throughout my academic life I can say that taking English courses have helped me to become a better writer but nerveless I have not once written a fiction story. …show more content…

When it is time to proofread the rough draft I get nervous because I don’t think my writing skills are worthy for someone else’s time. This book has given me some assurance in learning how to write a good story. One of the first things the author mentions is that you can do this, you can become a better writer with the right guidance and practice. The author states the rules of the page, which is great information for those writers who feel negative in their writing skills. It is acceptable to start off bad because things can be fixed that made feel optimistic in the sense of not having experience writing fiction and still having a positive outcome. With that being said, I overthink so much that I cannot seem to start writing in a natural flow. By means of the author, the less you care, the better you write; I will take note of his advice and hoping I will become a better
