Recommended: Schools have students do required community service

As a member of the Beta Club I have a requirement of at least thirty hours per year of community service. However, I have gone above and beyond that that requirement to help my community My hours to date are as follows: Next Step Women’s Care Center (located in Dunlap, TN): I have spent a total of 3 hours in the last two annual, walk for life, charity events hosted by the center. This includes setting up tables, registering donors, and clean up after the event. Volunteer yard work: last spring a elderly lady named Ann Brown who’s husband passed a couple of years ago asked me if I could do some yard work for her she offered to pay but I told her I was glad to held for free. So I spent 4 hours the next saturday sprucing up her yard by raking

    During the summer or even on weekends my mom would take me with her to go help out her patients. Which included bathing them, feeding them, and caring for them. Not only did I help my mom with her patients but I would always help rake leaves, pick up trash and make their yard look nice. I helped an elderly man who was on fire in his backyard. It was around spring time and I heard someone screaming yelling “help” so I went around to look and there he was on fire. I tried so hard to put out the fire and it felt like mission impossible but I did not give up even though the ambulance were on the way. He was burnt pretty bad, but I was so glad I found him. Who knows it could’ve been worse! He is still alive till this day and sits on his porch waiting for me to pass by his house every morning to say good morning.
