Working in a research setting will do one of two things to you: It will make you realize how much you love research, or it will create a deep-seated hatred for it. Luckily for me, it fostered a love and appreciation for research, and the steps taken to conduct a successful one. Everything from doing literature reviews to conducting an experiment, to analyzing and presenting your findings excites me. When I stopped working as a research assistant last year, I knew it was only temporary and that I would eventually go back to a lab again because that’s where I felt most comfortable. It’s this unwavering comfort and sense of belonging I felt whenever I was in the lab that makes me confident that PREP is where I want to be this summer.

“Class,” I announced, “today I will teach you a simpler method to find the greatest common factor and the least common multiple of a set of numbers.” In fifth grade, my teacher asked if anyone had any other methods to find the greatest common factor of two numbers. I volunteered, and soon the entire class, and teacher, was using my method to solve problems. Teaching my class as a fifth grader inspired me to teach others how important math and science is. These days, I enjoy helping my friends with their math homework, knowing that I am helping them understand the concept and improve their grades.
My passion for the fascinating wolrd of science literally can not be put into words. Since receiving my first home science kit at five years of age the way things work and why has always been at the forefront of my mind. During my early years I would find great delight in examining anything I could fit under the lens of my telescope. I will never forget my first look at the intricate detail of a human hair.
Her Passion for Learning & nbsp; It took me eighteen years to realize what an extraordinary influence my mother has had on my life. She' s the kind of person who has thoughtful discussions about which artist she would most want to have her portrait painted by (Sargent), the kind of mother who always has time for her four children, and the kind of community leader who has a seat on the board of every major project to assist Washington' s impoverished citizens. Growing up with such a strong role model, I developed many of her enthusiasms. I not only came to love the excitement of learning simply for the sake of knowing something new, but I also came to understand the idea of giving back to the community in exchange for a new sense of life, love, and spirit. & nbsp; My mother's enthusiasm for learning is most apparent in travel.
I have never felt like I have been a part of any sort of social order, be it a school, church, neighborhood, club, a group of friends, or even my own family. Perhaps this is because, not only am I anti-social, but I am a collector: a collector of ideas and passions. My collection is ever changing and ever contradictory. My interests are to varying and eclectic to fit into one synonymous, orderly whole that can slide nicely into one clique's stereotype. I am always adding to my collection and always pealing and shedding overused/underused or unneeded skins. My collection is and never will be complete; for I have yet to even give it a name and a central theme is definitely lacking. I cannot even begin to recognize any synergism that may be possibly approaching. I cannot even recognize any in this essay. That is what I get for making one of my greater passions, writing, vestigial for so long and trading it in for a drawn out passion of making collages.
Heritage Essay While trying to find a family member to write about I learned that I have a lot of family. But they have hardly any information about them. Which makes it more difficult to write this paper. My father had to help me find someone because I know nothing about my family around the assigned time. I think writing about my great great grandfather to help us learn about my past.
What aspects of your research placement did you find most valuable and least valuable (differentiate between what was enjoyable and what was useful)? The most important, useful and enjoyable aspect of my research placement was the variety of research and environment I was able to work with and in. I got to collaborate with all the graduate students in my professor’s research group at least once, and that allowed me to learn more about each of their experiments and as well as their life experiences as a graduate student. Furthermore, by working in various working environments, it gave me a variety of exposure to the different types of practices and technologies used in those environments and that made the experience much more intriguing (as seen in question 1).
Humor is an essential part of my daily life. Causing someone to laugh and feel amused varies from person to person. What I find funny may not be funny to others. My sense of humor may vary, from watching comedy movies, to late night comedy talk shows. What I find mostly funny are Internet memes or funny Internet videos, because they have both been modified into distinct funny phrases or modified into funny videos that cause humor and they are always new ones being created, you can also share them to give someone else laughter. My sense of humor comes from my dad, growing up we would watch Spanish comedy on television together, though not all humor can be funny, because I believe there is a line that should not be crossed when using humor.
Anybody that knows me knows that my passion and goals in life have to deal with fashion. If I could be anything in this world I would love to be a designer of some sort or at least be in the industry. When it comes to clothing and style it just comes easy one of the easiest things I’m good at. Fashion is an art form it allows you to express your view on style anyway you choose. And to me I feel like nobody has the right to judge that. Style hasn’t always come easy to be though just like everything else it takes time and practice it’s still a work in progress. When I look back to my middle school and early high school years I wonder deeply about my choices, middle school had to have been the worst. I was going through a colored jeans faze, I would wear bright yellow, honey mustard yellow, sky blue, purple, and pink. If somebody were to name a color I probably had jeans that color. It gets worse though because I would have the worst possible combination choice of shoes to go along with a matching bead necklace and bracelet set, followed by a grey or navy blue uniform shirt. It’s clear I had no idea what I was doing the best part is I was being myself and that’s all that matters. No matter how much I think my style has grown I’m only human and will look back and probably wonder why I wore the outfit I’m wearing sitting here writing this essay.
At no point in life can you be perfect at anything, but you can prepare yourself for the adventures of life. One of life’s biggest challenges is marriage. Marriage requires preparation emotionally and spiritually. Marriage is considered to be one of the hardest aspects of life to control. Merging two different customary lifestyles into one can be difficult especially since the feelings of both are involved. I have learned both the numerous ways to destroy and build a successful marriage. Marriage is the union of man and woman becoming as one flesh according to God’s law and the law of the land.
When speaking of the topic of who a person is and their past, a massive part of this includes their educational background. Isn’t this what forms people, their education? Of course, this doesn’t always have to refer to their organized education. Everything that a person learns is something that educates them; these words being synonymous. Even something like first learning to tie your shoes is a part of your education. Which method works better for you: loop, swoop, and pull, or bunny ears? I of course, like any other well educated person, use loop, swoop, and pull; it’s just the best way, no bias has ever developed there.
My opinion is that cooking is the best hobby to have, because it can be very useful in life. Cooking is my hobby and has been for several years. I was about five years old, when I started learning how to cook. Cooking is something that I inherited from my grandmother; my grandmother was a professional chef and owned her own restaurant, where I learned how to cook.
