According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, a seed is defined as “a source of development or growth”. A physical seed requires preservation to nurture its growth. Concurrently, my SEED also requires preservation to encourage healthy growth. My salvation, education, elevation and destination, which is essentially my seed of life, needs continuous nourishment and protection. Because of its significance in my life, I must diligently and vigilantly guard my S.E.E.D to reach my destination. Salvation is the first step to meeting my destination, eternal life. Although it may be simply attained, it must be maintained on daily basis. Salvation is a powerful gift that the enemy strives to take away from an individual, demanding a refuge. Without adequate knowledge of where I am going and how to get there, I am prone to distractions and attacks by the enemy. Therefore, it is imperative for me to defensively guard my education because knowledge is power and the enemy seeks to diminish the power that I have acquired through salvation. The bible says in 2 Timothy 2:15 to “study to shew thyself approved unto God”. Having knowledge of your preparations for your destiny requires studying to engrain it into your memory. Lewis Howard Laimer once said, “Habit is a powerful means of advancement, and the habit of eternal vigilance and diligence, rarely fails to bring substantial reward”. As Laimer mentioned, habit can lead to elevation, but requires diligence because it requires much work and care to allow your seed to properly grow and therefore, advance to a higher position. But Romans 5:3 says to “glory in tribulations” because sometimes God takes us through stages of life to prepare us for greater.
