When I was 8 years old, I played my first ever hockey game in West Vancouver. This was a memorable day for me because it inspired me to excel in hockey and play the sport. This sport will always have a warm spot in my heart. This leads to success in the future to this day. As I was playing my first game ever I ended up scoring many goals and impressing others, after all it was my first ever hockey game of my life. I start off my day like any other ordinary day by brushing my teeth and going to the bathroom, after I finish. I started to walk downstairs to eat breakfast, but then my dad breaks the news and tells me that I have my first ever hockey game today in West Vancouver. I jumped in joy,. There were lots of emotions in the air, my heart …show more content…
I won the face off but the other team quickly took it off our defender's stick and skated down the ice really fast and scored in the first 20 seconds. After another 30 second of our shift nothing happened, we headed off to the bench and the second line was up nothing much happened in the first period. It was the second period my line was up once again to start of the period but this time the other team won the face off to there defenceman but I quickly stole it off his stick and cut through the second defender, I was on a break away I could hear my teammates yelling to shoot the puck, I could feel the sweat dripping down my face and the air against my face, it felt like I had wheels on the bottom of my skate I was zooming as I got closer to the net I shot it top of the line I was able to shoot it down the line I was left, I could not believe it my first ever goal I felt so good like I was on top of the world it was the best feeling ever I could hear the crowd yelling in joy, well I was skating towards the bench my teammates were cheering with me. In the second period my friend also scored so the game was 2 to 1 in our
There are no shootouts in the playoffs. Instead the play a five on five twenty minute period. The first goal wins. If the game is tied after the first overtime it continues to a second overtime. It will keep continuing until a goal is scored.
The coach gives an inspiring pregame speech and tells them if they work hard no one will beat them. Then public address announcer comes on and say they are about to play the national anthem. Already amazed by the whole moment. After that he begins to take the ice but before that his teammate says good look. He is waiting for the puck drop to him it feels like an eternity but it actually is a matter of seconds. Next thing he knows he is skating down the ice and shoots the puck and hits the post. The crowd all screams in astonishment. He comes off the ice and his team says nice try.The game was still tied at the end of the first period. When he went back into the game he knew the play. He got the puck and moved up ice and passed it in front of the goalkeeper and the center scored. Ryan was rushed with emotions he joined his teammate to celebrate. He got his first assist in the NHL. The buzzer sounded it was the end of the
After that we went over to our bench the bench we sat o was green and white these benches change color according to your team's color. There are 9 people on the field at once from each team 4 attack 4 defence and 3 middie we played U of M it wa fun we destroyed them 91 0 biggest game differential ever! The game is different but is still a lot the same like i told you we were dressed now and are allowed to hit people like in boys lacrosse we don't wear pads though just goggles are gloves are required now. No extending elbows or limbs still. I sent a girl to the hospital i broke her arm. I scored 15 goals and had an awesome time. The goal turns into a star after you score and a rainbow appears. After the game we signed papers and digraphs. After the game me and Emma were tired so we went back to the dorm, and ordered a pizza. The pizza man came and he wore this weird thing it was an apron but it had squirty bottles to clean it off. The pizza guy's truck was the one with the oven and cooler it looks awesome emma said that they have them everywhere. We ordered dr. pepper that came in a 4 liter it was cool we drank it all and then we went to bed watching a movie( it was a double throwback for back to the future). As i fell into a deep sleep i saw the monkey
While it could be debated if Bettman 's theory is correct, there is no denying that the exposure the NHL has gotten, sending and risking their best players to the past five olympics has no transcended into bringing in new fans or higher television viewer ratings.
...slapshot from the point. Two minutes later the puck broke loose from one of the other team's defensman and landed on our most talented player’s stick. He is not only as fast as lightning but can also stick handle around any NHL team blindfolded. He made a quick move to the left, and then to the right. He took the shot which went top shelf on the right side. The second I saw the net move I knew we had done it. The underdog team defeated the 1st ranked team in the state championship game for Missouri high school hockey. An uproar from the mob of people could have been heard from two miles away. I couldn’t believe we had done it. We beat the odds, and took the cup. I felt shivers travel down my bruised and cut body. The hard work did pay off, for we had done it. The tears were flowing like the water dropping from the Niagara Falls. We were State Champions.
It had been an unbelievable season so far, we were going into the championship game of junior league with only two losses. Of course, the only other team with a better record than us was the black team. We gave them their only loss on the second game of the regular season. Now, after defeating the better of the Mosinee teams in the semi finals, my dad, who was also the coach of our blue team, had stopped to watch the rest of the game between black and red.
Basketball is a big part of my life, one year ago in tournament final game two of our best players were hurt and the team was relying on me. With the time winding down on the clock we were down 8 points. Somehow I got our deficit down to two points with 30 seconds left, after an intense defensive stop 10 seconds remained on the clock; our coach called a timeout. A play was drawn up for me to take the shot. Mitchell inbounded the ball to me as I came off of a screen, I had an some-what wide open shot, I took the shot, you could hear the crowd go silent as the ball left my hand and headed towards the basketball. It felt like everything was going slow motion, the ball was getting closer and closer to the hoop and I…….missed it. The buzzer sounded
When I got home from school my Dad had me go get ready for a hour or two hour long drive. I got ready we got in the car and we started driving. On the way there I fell asleep in the car while we were driving. When I woke up we were in Chicago parked in front of the United Center. I got so exited I wanted to get in the stadium as soon as possible even though we we were an hour early. When we had gotten in with our tickets they were handing out free hats. After we went to go watch the BlackHawks practice. After watching the BlackHawks practice we went in a store to go get me a sweatshirt. When we got back to our seats the game was about to start. Then the game had started with the Toews wining the face off.

Why I love lacrosse By luci selander I love lacrosse because I get to play a sport that I love. Every year I get to meet new people and make new friends. I've played a lot of different sports but one definitely stood out to me, I never would've thought about playing this unique sport until my hockey coach told me about it for a offseason sport. I get to go to new states to play in really fun tournaments. I even got to go to a cool new school for lacrosse where I get to practice everyday.
For decades, fighting in hockey has been instrumental to the identity, history and high energy that brings professional hockey fans to their feet. Supported by the players, coaches, and average fan, fighting has brought a unique dynamic to hockey that is unseen in any other sport in the world. However, fighting in hockey is one of the most debated themes in all sports. Although entertaining, some argue that the dangerous elements of fighting outweigh the benefits that it may bring to the players out on the ice or the fans sitting in the stands. Already banned in most minor hockey levels, some are advocating for fighting to be eliminated from Major Junior Hockey and professional leagues like the National
Life can sometimes best be described as a roller coaster. It has its highs and its lows, but no matter how low someone is everyone has that one place to forget about life’s problems. This place is the Great Neck ice rink for me. Hockey was introduced to me as a kid by a neighborhood friend. I was around 8 years old when I first picked up a hockey stick. Although it would be another month until I was able to use a lefty hockey stick, I knew that this sport would be an essential role in my life. My friend Brian got me into hockey, but as a lefty, he did not have any lefty hockey sticks. This did not draw me away from the sport. It made me take on this challenge to be talented at this sport. Even playing with the wrong sided stick I still was engaged in the games and would proceed to become a New York Rangers fanatic.
There are many choices that I could have picked to be when I get older, but I picked one good and amazing job that fits me perfectly. With this job I have a lot of experience in it and enjoy spending my time with many of people that enjoy doing the same thing as I do! This amazing job is going to, being a field hockey coach! I have played ever since I was in fourth grade and have played ever since and am going to continue to play. I have done many clinics with many different coaches, which is a good thing. When you do different clinics with different coaches it's fun because you can learn new and different things and you can learn a many different ways.I would like to have this job because you get to spend time with little kids and have fun.
