I could not think of a better example or provide for me than my mother. She was on the right track for the rest of her life because she got into college when she was only 17 years old. When she tells me about those kinds of stories, they always consists of being the youngest kid in the class who everybody else thinks should still be in high school.
My mom got pregnant when she was 19 years old and had my brother, Ross, when she was 20. In the interview, my mom expressed through her tone of voice how much she didn’t want to do this. So when my first interview got deleted somehow from my phone I kind of had to force her to sit down and answer them again. I would say the questions I asked were pretty grueling because it is a sensitive topic.
I also think it is good for the mind and body to reflect on the hard times in your life so that you can ultimately become a better person. The events that happened during this whole process shapes my mother into the person she is today. I would describe my mom as smart, witty, and caring. I believe having my mother raising my brother so young almost suggested that they were going to have some fights with each other later down the road. All kids have a higher chance of doing naughty things if their parent or parents were in the same boat as them around this age.
Once my mom actually found out she was pregnant, I’m sure a lot of questions and thoughts were running through her mind. For instance,“what am I going to tell my parents” or “how are we going to support this new baby because we’re broke?” She eventually faced all of the facts and decided to keep this precious child, which in my opinion was the right choice because without him our family wouldn’t be complete.
Like I said in the intervi...

...h it between all of the fights because they’re still alive and doing well. My brother is very tech smart so he is trying to start up his own business doing computer repairs and that sort of thing. He has a wonderful girlfriend, Sonia, that is the perfect match for him. My mom is still married to my dad, Robbie and they just had their twenty third wedding anniversary in early April! My mom is now a Special Ed teacher at Shafer Elementary, and my dad is phone technician at AT&T.
My parents are now not only raising me, but my sister, Chrissy, because my brother moved out since he is 28 years old. I’d say my mom did a little bit better job raising us then she did my brother because this was her second-go-around which she already had experience doing. I think she took her mistakes with my brother, and learned from them. We’re turning out alright thanks to her and my dad!
At Ten P.m on September 23, 2006, my mother Kelli Elizabeth Dicks was hit by a car on Route 146 southbound trying to cross the high speed lane. She was being picked up by a friend. Instead of taking the exit and coming to the other side of the highway, her ride suggested she run across the street. The impact of the car caused her to be thrown 87 feet away from the original impact zone and land in a grassy patch of land, her shoes stayed where she was hit. She was immediately rushed to Rhode Island Hospital where she was treated for serious injuries. When she arrived at the hospital she was rushed into the operating room for an emergency surgery. The amount of injuries she sustained were unbelievable. She broke 18 different bones, lacerated her liver and her spleen, ruptured her bladder, and she collapsed both lungs. When she went in for her emergency operation, and had her
...arents have always been there to give the support and provide for me because that what parent do for there kids. Through out watching my parents work i am able to develop what it means to work hard and learn how to provide for my a family later on.
Regretfully, when I entered high school I did not realize how hard I had to work to get what I wanted. I went to my classes, did my work, but never really pushed myself to my full abilities. I thought that as long as I graduated with decent grades I would be able to get into college and really focus then. But as high school quickly came to an end I realized that I was not as well prepared for college, as I would have liked.
In my opinion, parents are the result of a young person’s actions. Parents or caregivers have the biggest influence in their children's lives. I think that the way you raise your children will reflect who they become and their morals. Growing up, a child learns by copying what their parents do for example for me, I got the habit of biting my nails from my mother. Cooking, cleaning, driving, are taught to us by our parents, therefore; children learn to carry on those skills they learn and use them in the future.
The only person in my family that went to college after high school was my grandmother. I do not want to be just another family member to not go to college; I do not want to give up my dreams, because I do not have the education for them. I want to be able to say I did it for me, for my dreams. In the paragraph above I explained a little about my life when I was little and what that taught me was that life doesn 't always go as you might want it to; with that in mind college would be my choice, it would be what I want. The reasons I want to go to college may not seem significant enough to you, but too me they mean so much more than what you will understand. There is this quote, I do not know who said it, but I think it means a lot; “ You were born to be real, not to be Perfect”, this quote works perfectly with what I am trying to tell you. I believe that everyone should live by that quote. I am not going to tell you what I think you want to hear, but what I believe you need to
Growing up, my dad worked at a local aluminum plant and my mother was a stay at home parent. They both had very different parenting styles. I was the third child out of four, three girls, two boys (one that lived with us and the other we never saw). My father was more
My mother and I had a system because she would work the night shift, she was able to take care of my brother during the day, but when it was time to work she had to trust me to take care of him. I would feed, change, and look out him while my mom was at work and I was home alone. Since money was in short supply, we couldn’t afford a baby sister, which is why I had to care for him. I was given proper instructions from my mother on how to care for him. As well as emergency procedures to follow if there was something I could not handle; which never happened. This experience allowed me to mature and learn responsibility at an early age, which i learned comes in handy in the world of adulthood. It might seem as if my mother didn 't do much parenting with all the time she spent away from my brother and I, but I can assure you she most certainly
God says to honor your mother, but sometimes I question that wisdom. I mean God has some good thoughts and did some really great things, but that doesn’t mean he is all knowing. Mom is great, I love her so much, but once in awhile she just does things that cause me to rip out my hair in disbelief. She has really great qualities from her bravery and intelligence to how loving she is. However, she has some not-so-great qualities, like her anxiety and lack of common sense to how obsessed she can be about things.
Ever wonder what your life would be like if you lost one of your parents? Growing up with a single mother losing my mom was always my biggest fear. Although growing up without a father figure in my life was challenging, overall it made me a stronger, more independent woman.
Our parents work hard to get us where we are today. Due to the fact that my parents had lack of education and there English wasn 't that good they wasn’t able to get a job that was more relaxing. Though they work in company only they were able to earn enough to raise all of us. Through nurture, now that I’m older I don’t exactly see all the struggles that my parent had gone through to raise me, but I do see and understand more about the struggles. Their love for us, nothing can compare to it. Seeing what my parents had gone through and how hard they have work inspired me to work hard, go to school get a good job so in the future they can depend on me and just rest.
Mum and dad where married for a year before they had me. I defiantly would say that dad stepped up to the role of being a father. He was always so caring and understanding, even if I did something mischievous. Dad never got very angry. Even if I asked him a thousand questions while he was trying to work.
Becoming a mother has been the best part of my life. I became a mother at a very young age. I had no idea what to expect and was not in the least prepared for the journey that lie ahead. I have truly embraced motherhood and enjoy all the wonderful things it has taught me. While living through motherhood, I have found that it can teach you the most valuable lessons there are to learn. Being a mother has taught me how to have patience. I have also learned that being a mother takes a lot on mental and physical strength. My children have been the best to teach me how to juggle many tasks at once. They have made me strong. Even through some unexpected turns, I have learned how to get through hard times and really learn what it means to never give up. My children are my biggest blessing, and I hope they will learn valuable lessons through me. The skills I have learned from being a mother have helped me in my college journey.
Is being a single mother a the most inspiring, difficult, demanding, and rewarding job in the that a person can have? I always looked up to my mother as a loving and caring inspiration to me and others who she came in contact with. Even though I always looked at my mother as a role model she is not perfect, I watched her make mistakes such as abusing prescription medication she received due to an injury, spend money irresponsibly, and procrastinate time and time again. My family has battled hardship, adversity, and lack from the time I was old enough to realize what was happening in the world around me. A mother’s actions in life can leave permanent impressions on her children. I have adopted good and bad habits from my mother. I also learned from her mistakes which made me the person I am today. When I was young she was my inspiration because of the good moral character she possessed. Now that I have seen some of the negative and bad decisions that she made affect her life and everyone that lives with her I strive to do the opposite and make good life changing decisions such as eliminating procrastination and staying away from drugs. A person, especially a mother can be defined by their actions during these tough times. My mother has always been the most
Has anyone ever asked you: “Who is most important to you”? To me the most wonderful mother in my life, no one can replace her in my heart. My mother, who is very nice and gentle, helps me and has always been there for me when I need her. My mother loves me very much. She is strict and educated me to become a good person. I can’t say how much love her. I am grateful to her because she gave me birth, brings me love and helped me grow up. But you know she just takes care of me a lot. Every day she tells me the same words. If you were me, you would feel very tired. I am a very happy child having my mother. I feel too tired to listen to her words, but imagine one day I don’t see her any longer and listen to her voice. What would I feel?
But through it all, I am glad i developed through life the way I am, getting my first real job really help me but my best foot forward into the working world of being in adult. I learned a lot of new things, especially the darker and brighter parts of it all. It really helped push me to do other things that I was afraid to do, like getting my license and my car. I thank my father and my mother for being an influence even if it was negative a lot more than I would have liked. All of these events changed me and made me the man i am today, and I would never go back and change any of
