My Experience With Literacy

Literacy plays a big role in life for everyone people may not think we use it but actually we do every day in life. But literacy for me is a challenge I love to read drama,horror,and suspicious books I do try to read books often on my free time all my life English has always been a issue for me to keep focus on a certain paper tend to go off topic when writing an essay I am not too for sure as in why I go off topic I have tried to improve the way I go about it .I also write as if I were talking to a friend in dialogue my relationship with literacy is very poor I am not very confident in what I write I feel the need to get more practice on grammar usage, comma, sentence variety and writing skills want to be more successful when writing .This

I am the first in my family to go through all the way with college and be content with it but I get discourage when it comes down to certain subjects like English I am slower to learn at certain projects or essay to catch on I would need a tutor to understand better in my everyday life to make improvements on these habits I have on my writing skills and I have failed to realize to read instruction sometimes when I read them but I just skim through and go through and jot my thoughts down and then go back and read but sometimes I don’t understand and have to get extra assistance on it literacy will always be my number one thing I do horrible on I get upset when I cannot write a simple paper without being able where to know where to put commas,periods,excloamtion points and when not to do run on sentence and when to put the correct punctuation I struggle bad and want to resovle this everyone else in my family are smarter they also read the newspaper a lot and other suspense books they have this method they do every time they are about to write an story or some essay on it they go ahead and skim through and pull out the main ideas and generate ideas and jot them down on and pull out the thesis and use that to make there first introduction and look at each claim they pulled out makes one for each paragraph they have than go back to the article and read the whole thing and see if they have more information or facts to put in the essay and once that rough draft is completed they let others read them to get feedback on what mistakes they did wrong and fix it and they also re read and re write with the corrected information and have someone else read the final copy I have tried this before it does not help at all I mean it does but it doesn’t because I have a hard time trying to keep focus on where to find that main idea and where to use it and where would be a good place to put it where it would sound good and would fit properly in the paragraph .My relationship with other
