How My Entrepreneurial Fire Ignited: Around me, I find problems, every time my eye blinks. I extract the solution with observations and with innovation. Ever since a child of the mere age of 6, I found myself observing people and environments. Trying to figure out why people were displeased or happy. My entrepreneurial passion had resided within me and I had not discovered them until my last year of high school, when I was introduced to social entrepreneur and founder of microfinance, Muhammad Yunus. It was then, that I realized how much of an impact innovation and entrepreneurship has on the world. His role as a social entrepreneur gave me a role model to look up to. My deep passion for cultures, languages and global citizenship were the …show more content…
One experience is the Hack-a-Startup competition, where my team and I came up with Throb, a social App. Even though our innovation did not win any place or prize, it gave me the first experience of working together in a team, on a startup idea. We had learned to collaborate together and build an idea in highly passionate environment, which was the greatest reward I have received.

I would want to inspire individuals to explore entrepreneurship, due to its multiple applications, and how important it is to our evolving world. In the hopes of creating a successful start up, I hope to bring back my success to the University, and the program. With positivity overflowing, and a dedicated mind, I want to expand the entrepreneurial ecosystem at CMU, to the point where anyone on campus realizes what a hub of entrepreneurship CMU is. By reaching out to not only students, but also staff and faculty, a greater entrepreneurial community can be fostered, and more problems can be discovered. This also can inspire individuals to seriously consider entrepreneurship, and how important it is to economies around the world, and also individual’s creative exploration. Anywhere I would go in the world, I would be sure to make sure individuals know about CMU’s strong entrepreneurial
The Industrial Era enabled wealth, prosperity, and advancement in American society. But behind the wealth of a few, the new skyscrapers lining big cities, and the influx of new people, the Industrial Era possessed many dark underbellies, such as labor. Factory owners and industry giants treated their employees poorly, and subjected them to long hours, crowded workspace, and dangerous conditions. This is best exemplified in the New York City’s Triangle factory fire. Often times the middle class reformers, the Progressives, are remembered for their work to ameliorate the working class. These supporters worked hard to cause change, but often the efforts of the factory workers themselves are forgotten. Political and economic change occurred because the poor gave the wealthy and educated people a cause and purpose to fight for. Without the original efforts of the rebellious
It would be an understatement to say that the twenty figures presented in Gross's Forbes Greatest Business Stories of All Time are success stories. These people have molded and shaped the way we live our everyday lives through their incredible achievements. Imagine starting with only a vision, while lacking the financial resources and personnel to make that dream a reality. This was the case for most of the entrepreneurs presented in this book. They found a way to create something out of nothing. Obviously, they had to overcome constant obstacles and setbacks on their way to success. A few also faced some morally challenging issues that may have been questionable, which will be addressed later. The striking similarities amongst some of the most innovative and recognized entrepreneurs in the world helped contribute to their revolutionary business ventures. By reading and analyzing this book, lessons and advice can be inferred and applied to our everyday lives.
Firstly, social entrepreneurship has become inclusive that it now has an immense tent into which all manner of socially beneficial activities fit.(1). In the contemporary, social entrepreneurs recognize immediate social problems, but also seek to understand the broader context of an issue that crosses disciplines, fields, and theories. Gaining a larger understanding of how an issue relates to society allows social entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions and mobilize available resources to impact the greater global society (2). ...
In the documentary “Call of the Entrepreneur,” three successful entrepreneurs, Brad Morgan, Frank Hanna, and Jimmy Lai, are presented to explain their views on entrepreneurship and in turn leadership. Brad Morgan is the owner of a million dollar dairy and compost company, Frank Hanna is a merchant banker in New York City, and Jimmy Lai is the founder of Giordano department stores and Next Media. A central theme of the documentary is how each of these businessmen displays the characteristics of persistence, patience, and perseverance to overcome frustrating obstacles and become successful. The film defines entrepreneurship and explains how the entrepreneur responds positively to consumer demands and is able to organize and direct others toward a goal only the entrepreneur can see. The film shows that though some entrepreneurs are driven by greed and some are not, the ones that are successful are answering the needs of consumers.
People sometimes enjoy being in life or death situations. If something bad happens to these people, is it their fault? The people that do this should be held accountable for everything that happens. This is because mistakes can easily be avoided by preparation, people should always be aware of their surroundings, and people are to blame for their actions when they include other people or things. Accidents are also very rare when they couldn’t be prevented by preparation.

When heading out into the woods, you'll want to have an idea of what you can use as tinder to start your campfire. It's vital for warmth and food preparation. With some tinder, you'll need to prepare it in advance and pack it in with your essentials. The environment will dictate what you're able to use if you don't pack your own.

entrepreneurs have the ability to come up with new ideas in various situations of which one might have never imagined. Entrepreneurs have a curiosity that identifies overlooked niches and they are constantly trying to innovate (Robinson, 2014). They imagine another world and have the ability to communicate that vision effectively to investors, customers and staff.
Social Entrepreneurship is considered to be one of the rapidly growing areas of our society attracting attention from various sectors. On the most basic level, the rapid increase is because of the high success some entrepreneurs manage to accomplish. There is something inherently appealing about individuals or organizations and the backstory of why and how they do what they do. These extraordinary entrepreneurs find ways to go against the odds and succeed by new innovations and initiatives. Entrepreneurship as a whole has a way of improving people’s daily lives’ and leave an imprint. However, Social Entrepreneurship transcends that phenomenon. Social entrepreneurship drives social change, and it’s potential payoff, with its lasting, transformational
Being an entrepreneur, is advanced citizenship, you have to want it real bad. Entrepreneur is not entitlement. Being an entrepreneur is a life commitment. Like in the movie Wall Street, a famous line was "You can 't be a little bit pregnant." The fact is you can 't be an on again, off again entrepreneur.
Many people dream of becoming entrepreneurs someday. But it made me realize that there other factors that needs to be taken into consideration. We need to ask ourselves are we ready to take the challenge to the outside world. Not everyone have the vision, innovation and creativity to become an entrepreneur. The individual must have a positive attitude and accept the responsibility, have discipline to meet their goals, and take action when the opportunity presents itself. Many prefer a job security and rely on a weekly paycheck, while entrepreneurs will take risks and doesn 't have that luxury to know the amount of their income.
