A descriptive study on Social Enterprises should be Profit or Non-Profit Introduction In modern society, we often hear some news about social enterprises, TV, magazine, and internet. We cannot neglect the function of social enterprises in our country. Social enterprises play a vital role in perspectives of helping homeless people, offering employable opportunity, increasing national income, promoting economic growth. While, controversy follows. However, positive appraisal is more than the negative one. People still hope to see more social enterprises appearance. The main objective of this study is to discuss whether social enterprise should be non-profit or not. People have different opinion on this hot topic. The first question places emphasis on whether social enterprises should be profit or non-profit; the second question discusses what kind of people can become social entrepreneurs? The third question illustrates the ideology of social entrepreneurs. The last question pays attention to finding out strength and weakness, and wanting to collect some useful suggestion. Should social enterprises be non-profit? In my view, I think social enterprises should not be non-profit. The reasons are as below: Firstly, social entrepreneurship has become inclusive that it now has an immense tent into which all manner of socially beneficial activities fit.(1). In the contemporary, social entrepreneurs recognize immediate social problems, but also seek to understand the broader context of an issue that crosses disciplines, fields, and theories. Gaining a larger understanding of how an issue relates to society allows social entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions and mobilize available resources to impact the greater global society (2). ... ... middle of paper ... ... the product or service will be sold and who will buy it, the benefit of the product, or service, how it differentiated from similar ones, and methods of delivery.(6)In a word, social enterpreneurs can bring more positive signals to society. The best example can be illustrated with some London Social enterprises. At first, in their business, a group of volunteers for the London homeless tramps distributed socks, so as to make them keep warm. Removed colored glasses to communicate with them, listen to their stories and suffering. In fact, a lot of people were not the dirty, dangerous and horrible people, as described in the conventional view.
