High school has prepared me for my next step in so many ways. In the last four years my life has completely changed, for the better I would say. I have learned so much through my high school experience surviving through difficulties, work, relationships and drama. They say that high school is the best four years of your life, but I disagree. I think that the best years of your life are yet to come because with each year you progress more and learn more about yourself than you did in the past year. I have completely changed since my freshman year as has a lot of my fellow classmates. Through high school I was taught a lot that has prepared me for my next step in my future.
The first experience I had that gave me a lesson on how to

I learned so many lessons and had so many experiences in those two years of class than I did throughout my four years of high school. Mrs. jude and Ms. Fair were my most inspiring and thoughtful teachers I have had. Our cosmetology class has gone through everything imaginable, we have gone through loss, sickness, drama, hardships, friendships, and many challenges. During my two years in cosmetology I have learned that everyone you meet is not always how they seem. There is a lot of people in this world that will act the friendliest to you but be deceiving to you behind your back. These people are the ones that I will be watching out for the most in my future steps in life. Not all people are deceiving however, some actually have goodness in their state of mind. These people are the ones who you should befriend and learn important lessons from. Multiple girls in cosmetology were like this, which made the class time much easier to bare at times. I also learned that life goes on through the bad and just because life isn’t how you want it at a certain moment doesn’t mean it won’t get better. In my experiences through highschool I had a lot more negative experiences than positive but every negative hardship I went through made me who I am today and will continue to make me grow in my next steps in life. I strongly go by the teachings of the symbol yin-yang. This symbol states that there is something bad in everything good, but there is something good in everything bad also. This symbol is what life is, it is full of ups and downs but everything won’t always be how you want it to be, it is how you make it in your own mind that
A woman walking down the disheveled street, realize that she had a chance to see even better, tried to treat herself in some beauty salons and according to she was seeing how they were making the change, she realized that he caught his attention. Dedicated to the same thing, then she comes up with the great idea of being a cosmetologist, but I think it would complicate you a lot when you look for information and over the years and with effort and dedication you get a license and title, to achieve their dreams, beauty is on the inside, but it is better to show it off.
High school is where I had gained an awareness about how what I 'm learning in school is going to benefit me in the real world. I learned an retain a variety of information because the things that I did learn I felt like you would need to know to survive in the real world. A perfect example of this is driver 's ed where I learned to drive something that I do everyday frequently. Another reason why I learned and retain so much I because when I got into high school is around the same time I got my first job. This definitely opened the door in showing me how what I 'm learning in school applies to everyday work activities such as knowing and counting money this is where math comes in. Being able to talk and communicate writing and verbally this is where English comes in. All things that I needed to do in everyday
“Beauty might bring happiness, but happiness always brings beauty” (the daily quotes) If you have ever been unhappy about your appearances remember, it is a very familiar problem every human faces. Cosmetology was created to help those that are in need of their desired look. To express every moment was second of who they are or will become to be. Even though, we have abundant stylist today throughout the country. This career may not be the most satisfying, fun, or even a high-ranking in income, but the satisfaction of each smile is more than enough. However, challenging cosmetology is one of the most creative of all art.
Mrs. Roth started working as a cosmetologist in 2009, so she has 8 years of experience.
There are many different types of careers in the cosmetology field. The different types are; hairstylist, perm or hair color specialist, manicurist, pedicurist, barber, or esthetician. Anyone can major in one of these careers, multiple ones, or all of them. It doesn't matter how many they major in, they will still be considered a cosmetologist. To get a major in cosmetology, it is required to take a class in the career you are interested in. A typical cosmetology training program typically lasts nine months to about a year. Students are instructed on hair styling and cutting, scalp treatments, hair color, manicures and pedicures, chemical texture services, acrylic nail application, massages, facials, and eyebrow shaping. A student then takes advanced courses to expand their knowledge in this career. These courses may include studies on scalp disorders and diseases, scalp analysis, color application techniques, hair cutting tools, main principles of hair design, hair removal, massage techniques and benefits, cosmetology law and safe work practice. Once the course is finished, including service hours, the person then has to take and pass a state exam on the course. Once the exam is passed, the person then receives their certificate.
When its time for a trim, a new style, cut, color, manicure, or makeover, almost everyone goes to their local salon to see a cosmetologist. What is a cosmetologist? A person licensed to provide cosmetic treatments to the hair, skin, and nails; one trained in cosmetology. (Merriam-Webster dictionary) Well then, what is cosmetology? Cosmetology is the professional skill or practice of beautifying the face, hair, and skin. Although the job may seem simple enough, there is a long process to becoming a professional cosmetologist, and many people over simplify the career of a hairstylist. To become a licensed cosmetologist, one must go to cosmetology school, take a State Board exam, and earn

It all began my freshman year of high school when I was told about elective classes that would help me decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. I always had a passion for doing hair, make-up, and nails so that was easy for me to choose an elective. My freshman and sophomore year I decided I would take cosmetology classes. I would spend two hours each day of school in the cosmetology lab, which was always cold and smelled like hairspray, burnt hair from the straighteners or a strong acetone smell that someone gets a whiff of at a nail salon. We learned so much material and I had a good time practicing my skills on manikins and other classmates. One thing I didn’t enjoy was the gossip and drama, but of course one would expect that from a class
Every since I was a child I have had a passion for doing other people’s hair. When I was little I would use my baby dolls as clients and work on their hair until it was perfect and neat. I have chosen to be in the cosmetology field because I like to help other people with their needs and wants as well as mine. I am aware that while working in this industry I will work with many different ethnic groups and many different hair types. I feel I can do anything as long as I have the determination to do so. Many people go to cosmetology school to work for someone else, but I would like to open up a mini-salon out of my own home someday.
The American Heritage dictionary defines cosmetology as “The study of cosmetics and their use.” Cosmetology is more than just hair or nails. It’s a massive world of everything from cosmetics to skin care. Cosmetology opens not just one door, but multiple to other careers in this field of work.
As the years pass by, many types of hair styles have become increasingly popular; such styles include: permed, straightened, undercut, shaved, and dyed. However, recently, most cuts are extremely difficult or even impossible to do without a cosmetologist. One of the many sections of cosmetology is the cutting, styling, and bleaching of hair.
My High School life has helped shape the way for my college experiences that I will face. My senior year in high school is not the same as many other high school students. I am taking many advanced classes to help me prepare for college. These classes help me better understand exactly how much harder I must work to succeed.
My high school experience has been a very challenging and exciting 4 years. I have learned many things that will help me in life and I feel confident that I am ready for whatever obstacle I may face. High school has defined, shaped my character, and helped me to mature into the young woman that I am
The teachers of the school were very supportive, I loved them all. Being at school is very good in terms of dealing with different people. We were exposed very early to this world; where there are different attitudes and beliefs. I think having teachers with totally different minds has a role in our social intelligence development. I learned how to deal with people even if their beliefs, thoughts and styles do not meet mine.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
