Throughout high school, I have achieved and strived for many goals. Everything I have done in high school such as sports, clubs, and community service, is all leading up to my future after high school. Although I only have a few short months left as a senior, I still have many goals I am determined to accomplish. For example, this spring I will be finishing my fourth and final season of tennis; consequently, I am working hard because I would like to make it out of sectionals. There are myriad educational goals I also need to complete before I graduate. A main one is practicing a lot and working on my math skills so I can receive a high grade on the Advanced Placement Calculus Test. By placing high on this exam, I can save money by taking …show more content…
I have dreamt to go to this college since I was small child. While at Purdue, I want to study Business Management and Administrations with a minor in Marketing or Public Relations. It has always been a goal of mine to receive my Masters in my degree; however, I was not quite sure how I wanted to get that attained. My first thought was to get my bachelors and then start work immediately after those four years. Then after I was comfortable, I could start working towards reaching my Masters, but then I was introduced to 3-2 Program at Purdue University. The rigorous program allows students to receive their degree plus their Masters on top of that in five years. I know that this requires hard work and determination, but that is something I can offer because I am extremely passionate about participating in this …show more content…
Purdue offers many job fairs to bring businesses and corporations on to campus and get students associated with new contacts. By participating in this event, I hope to find a business that will offer me an internship. At this internship, I hope to learn many business skills that I will need in the future. After I graduate from college, I want to start to work immediately. By working in an internship, I may be able to get a job in that business or they could offer me contacts and recommendations for other locations. I have stated many goals I am striving to reach; however, there is one goal I did not state. During my college experience, I wish to study abroad in a foreign country. This is one of my top goals because it is an experience I believe I will never forget. Plus, I will learn so much not only about my major, but also the culture of another country. No one in my family has ever studied abroad and I want to be the first to do it. Consequently, the first day I step onto campus I will work hard so I can study
Mario Andretti once said, “Desire is the key to motivation, but it's determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” Andretti’s words are as true today as when he spoke them. Everyday should be a continuous journey to get to your goal. Starting off with the right step is a major component. Therefore, I chose to apply to Stanly Early College High. I believe that I have the ability to work up to Stanly Early College standards. Determination, dedication, and desire are all qualities that I have.
My Senior year in High School has officially begun, only one more year at Corona High. I know that Senior year is supposed to be fun, but I believe every year is an opportunity to improve. I have already set my goals for this school year. I believe I can achieve a GPA of 4.0 or above. However, there are some personal goals that I need to complete first. I need to stop my terrible habit of procrastinating. Another goal of mine is to pass my AP tests so I can earn college credit. I also want to learn new things, so I started to learn the basics of Coding, now I need to finish this course. These are some things I look to accomplish this year.
As my high school career ends, I notice increasingly how much life that I have yet to live and the opportunities available to me in the years ahead. The past four years have been great preparation for my future endeavors, but college is the path leading to my full potential. In order to reach the end of this path, I utilize my most valuable trait—determination—to set short and long-term goals and achieve them. It is with this “can do” spirit—like the one my grandpa, a former Navy Seabee, evinces through his stories—that I have set my personal goals: to volunteer my time in service to others, further develop leadership skills through experiential learning, and excel at my school work no matter how challenging it may seem. Though these may be difficult to maintain, I have faith that my optimistic attitude will enable me to prevail over the challenges I am certain to face.
Being a part of Appalachian State University’s Honors College would be an amazing privilege. According to the university, the Honors College has been providing superior education to intellectually-motivated students for more than thirty five years. Being a part of the Honors College would help me promptly reach the personal, intellectual, and professional goals I set for myself as well as optimize my college experience.
My high school is completely project-based. We've designed restaurants, traveled to Mars, redone the trials of Exxon-Valdez and Bhopal, and had our own Olympics. All of our academic subjects integrate into the projects. In 11th grade, second trimester, the assignment was to build and maintain a utopian society on Mars. As part of the project, I was asked to define the value system of my group's utopia by ranking the importance of ten qualities that make a successful city, including health care, pollution, transportation, education, housing, entertainment, and others. I wondered how I would even begin.
I’m a Freshman at Eaton Rapids High School, and I have a lot of goals for these next few years. First off, later this year I am running for class president. I have always wanted to give back and lead my class. Also, next year I want to join the football and baseball teams to get more fit. I have already started to train every day. Later in High school I also hope to get accepted into the National Honor Society.
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
Moreover, I have three short-term goals that I plan on accomplishing within the next several years. The first goal is to complete my last year in high school. I want to be among the people in my class that will walk in Constitution Hall in June 2016. Secondly, my goal is to attend Howard University. Ever since I visited the campus during my freshman year, I fell in love with the atmosphere. I felt as though I belonged in the
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
As I further my education, my main goals for graduate school are to gain the knowledge and skill set for the field that I am most passion about, which is recreation and sports. Taking the next step towards a master's degree is the academic challenge I want to take on. I found my passion for recreation through volunteering for multiple events while serving active-duty Navy. I have volunteered many hours in a program called Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Decisions (CSADD), which helps to promote positive environments for sailors through social organizations, community involvement and recreation events. Volunteering in events such as Relay for Life and other annual command functions has made an immense impact on the decision to further
Educational Goals: Education is extremely important part of my past, present, and future goals. I currently hold an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design Media. I have found that an A.A.S Degree does not go as far al I originally intended in the Rochester, MN area and furthering my education will be a necessity for my future career goals. Over the past 2 years I have been working on my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the Minnesota School of Business Rochester campus. I am currently a senior with 3 quarters left before a spring graduation. After a June graduation, I plan on taking a summer quarter break. After summer break I will either continue on at MSB for my Masters in Business Administration with a Minor in Marketing or transferring the University of Minnesota for my Masters in Adult Education. After my Masters Degree is complete I will decide at that time if I wish to continue on and achieve my Ph.D.
The next set of goal setting importance is my personal goals with the first being to over come the obstacles associated with returning to school.
I hope to learn how to manage my time better than I have in the past. I am hoping to be involved in many extracurricular activities while also having a job and attending Northeastern. With a packed schedule comes having my priorities straight. I want to have great self control to the point where I don't allow myself to have extra free time if I know there is class work I need to do. I'm not saying I'm always going to be busy doing work and not doing anything else.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
...t myself study with and from the best. I believe this can maximize my potential and I will go all out to thrive in such a competitive university.
