Although there are many unfortunate attacks in the world made by Muslims individuals, people should stop view everyone of that religion the same way. The article explains that terrorist attacks in the world caused people to fear and dislike Muslims. For example, there were many hurtful remarks about the religion, after the 9/11 and Paris attacks. In other words, many people’s perspective on others can easily be controlled by world events. For instance, when people make hurtful comments about Islam, they can cause pain and anger for people of the religion. When a person stereotypes others, it means they have created an oversimplified image of individuals who share some of the same attributes to be alike. It is important to understand that the action can inflict hurt and anger on others. When a person is labeled, they might go through a lot of pain because others were unable to see the person for who they are. In other words, everyone has different traits that set them apart from one another, and they should not be view the same way. Stereotypes can also seem unfair in most cases. For example, many men around the world are expected to provide for their family, while women take care of the household. This means that both genders receive pressure from society to take on a role, that they may not want to. When an individual is stereotyped they may feel hurt at first, but eventually, start to believe in the label. For example, in society Indigenous people are not expected to become successful. The stereotype tends to focus on a small portion of the culture, and the ends up convinced that it is true. Therefore, people should not label an individual or group based on the actions of another.
