A significant amount of people are either unaware of what music therapy is, or they are highly skeptical of its efficacy. I also noticed how you all are venturing for support in establishing the Music Therapy Practice Act (HB192) here in North Carolina. In order to achieve more support as well as getting the word out, I want to propose improving the attractiveness of your webpage (or delete it altogether) and to instead get more involved on social media. Websites as a means for promoting or gaining support is a little outdated in today’s society. However, social media has been spreading like wildfire and has made a considerable impact in our daily lives. It can be used to promote, connect, share ideas and receive feedback from others. Because we have an increasing number of skeptics, we need to be able to reach out to them and display the proof that we have acquired, as well as the full potential music therapy has. The right pictures and videos that you share will bring success in assembling this said personality. You could post pictures or videos of sentimental and personal success stories. Music is everywhere we go; we listen to it in the car, while doing work, and there are even people who pay to listen or watch an artist perform live. Yes, life goes on without music, but music has such an impact on our lives. Life is a rollercoaster of emotions and we have music to fit our emotions to be just as we feel. Music has a great deal of importance of many people. It can have a meaning that they cannot explain to others and are able to connect with the song. By doing so experts are able to help patients overcome many sicknesses with the help of music. Music therapy is capable of being an advantage for many individual patients, it can encourage responses from patients that other methods of therapy cannot get from them. Also, it improves the patients in distinctive ways other than for an illness.
The purpose of this study is to assess the relationship between survivors of child abuse in music therapy sessions on reported self-esteem and perceived locus of control. Sawyer and Judd (2012) define child abuse as a “tragedy that harms children psychologically, emotionally and physically while disrupting healthy development.” Survivors of childhood trauma must live in fear of the accused perpetrator, go to numerous court proceedings, and manage complications associated with changes in family dynamics. Even though it is typically paired with abuse, because child neglect is legally separated, it will not be included in this study when referring to typical abuse (Sawyer & Judd, 2012). As cited in an article by Sawyer and Judd, there were close to3.3 million referrals of alleged child abuse in the United States of America (2012); this has profound implications on the field of music therapy because of the large amount of potential clients.

With this type of power patients can ruin the reputation of an organization. Health care leaders are then responsible for ensuring the power that these patients have benefits the organization.

There are many of types of counseling in the world that are used often and then there are few that are used not so often, just because it is called therapy does not mean that the person is just in a room laying on a couch and talking to someone who keeps asking the same question “and how does that make you feel.” like we see on the television, There are therapies other than just in a room talking to someone; There are some in which people can do exercise, children can play games, they could even do group activities, just because someone is in counseling does not mean that they are confined to four walls and a note pad.
