Kirk Semple, the author of “Moving to U.S. and Amassing a Fortune, with the help of Jeffrey Singer. The two men tell use the success stories of three men who immigrated to this country. These men all made their fortunes without the ability to speak English. “And while generations of immigrants have thrived despite language barriers, technology, these days, has made it easier for such entrepreneurs to attain considerable affluence.” Semple writes this article to elaborate that it is difficult to overcome such boundaries and allows the audience to debate whether they agree that it is essential to know the English language to be successful or not. In this article, Semple explains to us the hardships of three immigrants. Mr. Sanchez, Zhang Yulong, and Kim Ki Chol. All immigrated from different places all over the world. Felix Sanchez de la Vega Guzman immigrated from Mexico and is now running a multi million dollar food manufacturing company. It takes on the role of pathos in that sense because it is difficult for the audience to imagine moving to a foreign country, knowing no one, and not being able to speak the native language and trying to make a living. Mr. Sanchez as well as the other two gentlemen has risked so much to be where they are today.
