Heros are those who face great danger to participate in acts that are extremely brave, while sacrificing themselves for a greater good. Moses, the main character in The Prince of Egypt is a hero. He is a very good representation of heroism, and the acts he took on to be a hero took a lot of faith, which was a major theme in this movie. Moses sacrifices being discriminated by his family, to help those in Egypt who are being treated very poorly. Moses starts with little acts of bravery like questioning what his father really does to the people of Egypt, and then once he finds out the disturbing truth, his destiny is to protect these slaves. Moses did not have to act on any of the actions he took, but he had faith that is was the right thing to protect the Hebrews.
Moses had a lot of motives to protect the slaves, and the first one was when Moses saw Tzipporah, the woman who was ordered to be his wife, escaping the kingdom, but he did not go and fetch the guards to stop her, he let her go. Moses was very brave to let this woman go because if he was seen letting her go, he could’ve been punished very brutally for lying and not respecting the rules of the kingdom. Moses became curious, which caused him to wander out of the Temple behind her, and on the way out his blood sister that he did not know of, approached him and told him that he was her brother. Moses may have not have believed his sister at first but he approached his father and he found out the truth. He also found out his father was distributing newborns into the Nile. This made him angry and he felt as though his whole life had been a lie, and he realized he was closer related to the slaves more than he would have ever thought, which motivated him to protect them even more. He had faith that it was the right thing to do. His first act of heroism was becoming aware
