Sightseeing is the activity of travelling around a city or region to see the interesting places that tourists usually visit and Montreal is a fascinating place. Built in 1832, Montreal has attracted English-speaking immigrants, Irish, Scottish, Italian and Portuguese. But to the ethics a set of moral principles as of an individual, dealing with values relating to human conduct, with respect to the rightness and wrongness of actions and the goodness and badness of motives. I will argue that Montreal a city of immigration of cultural diversity is as a tourism destination representing the good of boundary maintenance. Paul, the tour guide, said because of its interior is grand and colorful, that is why has made this basilica beautiful. Its ceiling is colored in deep blue and decorated with golden stars. It is filled with hundreds of complex wooden carvings and several religious statues. The church stained glass windows along the walls of the sanctuary do not portray biblical scenes, but rather scenes from the religious history of Montreal. With the concept of cultural hegemony, this church demonstrates the domination of a culturally diverse society by the ruling class, who manipulate the culture of that society. The church glass windows portray scenes from the history of Montreal, the beliefs, perceptions and values, from their ruling class because they could “controlled” the majority of the culture that is accepted as the cultural norm.
