Understanding a millennial Growing up in Africa as a millennial wasn’t easy. Over their dreams are like fairy tales something imaginal. I was stuck living a gen x live a live that is not main, people tell me what to do all the time. The poverty, poor economy, and the lack of education all played a big roll to evolve a millennial like me into a Gen X. every time I tried to do something new a wall of judgement stops me from it. I felt like I had been dragged down into the “save zone” as many old people called it. Many old people believe that millennials are lazy, stupid, undependable and can’t focus because they don’t know what is best for them. As we know the world is moving fast and the technology too. Therefore, millennials had been forced to live a fast base live that changed them into an intelligent human being. The ability to multitask is a very important this days and millennials proved that they can do multiple jobs as ones. This ability made millennials very likable to have a job because they are more productive and smartly better than Gen X or Baby Boomers. Also, millennials work in teams that improve their skills and get them closer to achieve their goals. Even Aristotle and Plato were said to have expressed similar feelings about the slacker youth of their times. (Rampell 389) Second, Millennials are more engage with their health statues and that make them healthier than the older generations. The love to explore and interact with the world around us make us unique as millennials, and that made us to focus more in our health. Yes, we eat chunk food most of the time but that doesn’t mean that we don’t know what are doing. For example, if any of us use their phone a lot they run out of power and then you will have to recharge it again. Same like us, as millennials we use our brain and body to much that we need more food every time like Michel Phelps.
