My qualifications entails both military work experience as well as academic experience. I have gained numerous attributes and traits that less than 1% of the population receives by joining the military. From analytical thinking to working with NATO forces and local nationals. I’ve served honorably for 6 years, while obtaining numerous awards/certificates, 2 college degrees, and the rank of E-5 within the short amount of time. This attest to my perseverance and my work ethic. I want to work as an analyst for numerous reasons. Each day is a new story for an analyst. Each day that story, is to foresee, prepare for, and prevent tomorrow’s threats. Knowing that intelligence produced from my work could be used at the very highest levels of government
Meeting these heroes is what motivated me to apply. These brave warriors offered the ultimate sacrifice for their country. They became the best of the best. They became my role models and my idols. As I held my saber high above their heads, I realized what I wanted to do with my life; I want to be an aid to those in need while being the best I can be. I don’t want to be a hero. I just want to help find justice and peace in this world. I realized that day that the best way to do this would be to join the military. My original plan was to enlist, but I also want to go to college and continue to learn and better myself. Therefore, I made the biggest decision of my life. I decided to apply to the United States Military Academy. I decided to apply to stand side by side with some of the smartest, bravest, and toughest heroes America has to offer. The graduates of the United States Military are considered the best of the best which is what I wish to
I want to be a JAG Officer because of the variety of work it provides. I have demonstrated interests in criminal law, international law, and national security law. My interest in criminal law started as a child in front of the television and I continued to engage this interest by studying criminal justice and honing my investigatory at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. My interests in international and national security law began in college where I studied and wrote about topics such as Just War Theory and terrorism and have continued in law school where I am the Director of Events for my institutions National Security Law Association. A career in the JAG Corps will allow me to pursue those interests while my ability
The acclaimed book, What Soldiers Do: Sex and the American GI in World War II France by Mary Louise Roberts, encompasses the dynamic and rich relationship between the American military and the people of France during the ending years of World War II. Unlike other historical analysis books, this book particularly concentrates on the sexual relationship between the two parties in terms of human sexual desire, prudish attitudes from the American military and even rape. However, what makes Roberts’ novel so prolific is her method of addressing this variety of sexual topics through past interviews and primary resources such as letters from American soldiers and French civilians. Furthermore, Roberts uses these primary resources to develop the intricate
For years I have aspired to become a part of an elite organization such as the military, and more importantly, the United States Navy. Its reputation for instilling high moral character was encouragement for me to develop into a more mature, responsible, and independent young citizen. There are certain qualities that an officer must possess such as: honor, courage, commitment, and attention to duty, responsiveness to orders, cooperation, loyalty, leadership, integrity, and discipline. Throughout my high school career, I showcased these qualities while an active member of The American Legion of Ohio Buckeye Boy’s State, The National Honor Society, as a leader in the Ohio State Highway Patrol Junior Cadets, Clay and Waite High School Marching Band Alumni, Quiz Bowl, and Top Ten Scholars. I was actively involved in charitable activities such as Math and SOS tutoring, community volunteering, and the Indian 100 Leadership Team, (a volunteer organization on my high school campus). I have shown strength, perseverance and leadership in my participation in wrestling, cheerleading, and bodybui...
I may not have had much experience in foreign policy on the ground, but I am passionate and willing to work hard and learn as I go. Second, I would like to gain more legal experience before I attend law school in the Fall of 2019. The Office of White House Counsel was recommended to me by an AUSA during my internship with the U.S. Attorney’s office. Finally, I want to make a positive change in the everyday lives of Americans. This administration is moving forward and achieving promises they set out on the campaign trail, and I want to be a part of that team.
My Air Force story begins with me searching for a viable way to pay for college. I was brought up in a home with two hard working parents who were great role models that tried to provide every opportunity for me. However, my family was part of the lower-middle class which meant I needed a way to pay for college. I followed suit with my parent’s stringent work ethic and set a goal to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering and have the Air Force fund it. I felt that the Air Force would be a great match as it would allow me to pursue my aviation dream and also serve as a great way to fund my education due to my financial needs. After a challenging process I received an Air Force ROTC scholarship to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology and pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering. In return for this scholarship I would have to pay the Air Force back with four years of service.
The occupation of an audio engineer can encompass many different areas of music production. From recording bands in the studio, synchronizing audio to film, sound reinforcement, to even developing the latest technology in the audio field. The possibilities are broad and seemingly endless. It is a field that is constantly changing, and qualifications are always increasing. Many don’t realize the commitment, drive, hard work and dedication involved with becoming successful in the field. As well as having the patience and reserve to take the time to get the proper training and gain experience. In audio engineering learning the ropes and basics is the most important part of the job, because they become the foundation of everything that the work in based on. Once one achieves these skills the field of careers available to them can encompass many different areas of the business and society, including the military. Since the Department of Defense is so huge (and active) these days the job opportunities it provides are broad and many.
According to Davis (2006), tensions in the relationship between intelligence analyst and administration policymakers are a common occurrence due to their distinctive professional missions. The analyst professional commitment is to assess national security issues without bias for or against the outcomes sought by the incumbent administration, while the policy maker’s commitment is to articulate, advocate and advance the administration’s national security agenda (Davis 2006). Davis (2006) however argues that eradication of tension is unwise, as tension in the relationship helps both parties to deal more effectively with the challenges of analytic and policymaking uncertainty. Under policymaker criticism analyst tend to undertake a reappraisal of their assumptions, evidence and argumentation; however a substantial change in judgement does not commonly re...
When dealing with career prospects I can aspire to become "Talent Acquisition Manager”. In today’s economy Talent Acquisition is a high pressure, critical and strategic result area of any organization. If not done properly it can jeopardize business plans and its application. I could work for major firms after the training, experience and, skills I have received by the United States military.
An intelligence research specialist in Homeland Security is an information analyst who monitors data, identifies potential threats and provides response recommendations. Intelligence research analysts must know how to quickly recognize red flags and interpret complex clues to efficiently identify threat possibilities. They create and disseminate intelligence reports to various federal agencies.
The business analyst’s role requires a consistent ethical standard of conduct in a way that other positions do not. Individuals and companies come to a business analyst for guidance and for advice. This puts the business analyst in a unique position of power. It is their responsibility to present the best work possible for the good of the company. A mediocre report could have huge...
They have to be punctual and have the ability to put in long hours every once in a while. Based on the information that I have researched, I can say that being a financial analyst wouldn’t be a bad fit for me. I have always had a knack for problem solving, especially during mathematical situations. I do slightly lean towards being a team member compared with being independent, and it could pose a bit of a problem if I do undergo this career. Like most people in business, financial analysts do spend some time traveling, and I definitely wouldn’t mind doing so. Financial analysts aren’t the only ones involved in financial and investment services; stockbrokers are also involved and are responsible for selling stock and other securities to others and conducting trades . The career is similar, but workers there put more focus on the stock market because they have to interpret it well in order to conduct trade deals. I do have some interest in following the stock market, so this career option wouldn’t be so bad for me. Being a budget analyst is another option related to finance. People in this profession are responsible for organizing budget reports for companies . One concern for the profession, however, is the national growth rate for the next decade. It is at 3%, slower than the average occupational growth rate of 7%, and much slower than 12% growth rate for financial analysts. Financial analysts could eventually be promoted to financial managers and have even more responsibility for managing a company’s finances. As of 2015, the median salary for this profession is $117,900
Becoming a financial analyst will allow me to enjoy a career in the finance field that pays well and also offers ample opportunities. The position of a financial analyst is growing very fast and so there are more opportunities for me to become a financial analyst. Being a financial analyst will not only put me in a powerful position within the organization but it will also teach me skills that I need about investing for my own financial life. Some of the qualifications for the career that I already have include a bachelor’s degree in finance, technology experience (Microsoft word, Microsoft outlook), skills such as maximization of work practices, and quality vigilance. One qualification that I need for this position is the ability to turn data into information. Since this position requires past experience and I have none, I can undergo training so that I can be at par with the job functions and requirements. Despite the fast growth of the job, though, there is stiff competition and even though I will most likely get this job with my bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree will help me stand out among my competitors and it will also be a wise investment for me since I have my eyes on a financial management position at one point in

The reason I decided to pursue a career in accounting is because I have always been interested in the business world and accounting is considered a basic tool of business. I have worked for small and large business firms; also in private and public sectors which helped me develop a strong linking with the industry as a whole and solidified my interest in accounting.
