And it has to be seen that the work done is up to the mark should be done are required. When it comes to the selection of the employees in any organization it should be done very carefully looking in for all the factors. As if there is one employee in the organization also who doesn’t work well then the company will suffer so they have to choose their employees very wisely in any organization. The employee should be efficient enough to do the work effectively. He should be best suiting for that job. MOTIVATION-
In common words, if we have to describe it then it is the way through which employees will get attracted to and will perform their work in a better way. Motivation is basically the willingness to exert high levels of effort to mainly reach out to the organizational goals, in linked to satisfy one’s need and then moving ahead.
Motivation Process-
The process is very long and step by step and it starts very systematically keeping in mind all the factors of it. Like that of starting with-

It should have proper job description, policies and procedures, training and involvement. Also the management system should be reviewed and managed properly by managing the feedback function.
The criticism of Recruitment and Selection is that the employee if not chosen wisely and correctly then the company might suffer at the end. So they should know to what kind of person they are actually hiring in any organization very carefully.

According to Robbins et al; (Robbins et al, pg 296) motivation refers to the process by which a persons efforts are energized, sustained, and directed towards a goal. This definition has three key elements: energy, direction, and persistence. Motivation is a complex and important subject, has historically been given a great deal of attention by Psychologists, who have proposed theories to explain it. (Riggio, pg 188),
Wikipedia defines motivation as, “The general desire or willingness of someone to do something.” Motivation is a need within us that inspires us to take action. In leadership, motivation theories play a key part in organisational behaviour and creating team success. It forms the centre of influence and therefore effective and inspirational leadership.
What is motivation? According to text, motivation is defined as a set of factors that activate, direct, and maintain behavior, usually toward a certain goal. Motivation is the energy that makes us do things: this is a result of our individual needs being satisfied so that we have inspiration to complete the mission. These needs vary from person to person as everybody has their individual needs to motivate themselves. Depending on how motivated we are, it may further determine the effort we put into our work and therefore increase the standard of the productivity. There have been a wide variety of theories about motivation developed over the years. Several are drive-reduction theory, arousal theory, psychosocial (both incentive and cognitive) theory, and Maslow’s H...
As stated by Dessler (2011) selection of the right employees is imperative for numerous reasons. These reasons can include the knowledge that organizations performance is contingent on its subordinate’s ability. Moreover, it should be common knowledge that employees with the reliable skills and characteristics will perform better for the company. On the other hand, employees who lack those skills or who are slacker will not perform efficiently, and the organization’s performance will suffer (Dessler, 2011).
Here I will explain briefly about three theories for the motivation of the employees in an organization. I will answer one of the questions in the assignment. “Discuss at least three key motivation theories you believe are most relevant to the SAS, Inc situation.”
Motivation is therefore the force that transforms and uplifts people to be productive and perform in their jobs. Maximising an employee's motivation is necessary and vital to successfully accomplish the organisation's objectives and targets. However this is a considerable challenge to any organisation's managers, due to the complexity of motivation and the fact that there is no ready made solution or an answer to what motivates people to work well (Mullins, 2002).
First lets start with motivation, what is motivation? It is a process that drives people towards a goal. In the business industry, motivation is the driving force for employees to accomplish the organization’s goals. I...
Managers should understand an employee’s skills and abilities to make an informed decision on whether or not to hire him. Once hired a manager uses skills and abilities as a deciding factor for an employee’s job placement within the corporation. Secondly, an evaluation of an employee’s personality helps the manager in his leadership approach of that employee. Thirdly, perceptions can be the deciding factor of whether or not a candidate is hired and or promoted. An individual perceived as fitting in may be hired to negotiate business deals. Particularly, if the individual shows a favorable attitude through actions and deeds and has strong values and behaves

Motivation is an important concept which is critical for understanding of and improvement in organizational behaviour and performance. It is therefore important for the managers to understand motivation. It is an important tool which they can use to get more out of their employees and increase organizational performance. Motivation can be defined as the factors, both internal as well as external which arouse in individuals the desire and commitment for a job (Mele, 2005, p. 15). Organizational performance on the other hand refers to the degree to which the organizational objectives have been achieved.
Motivation is an aspect of managerial function of directing under execution. It is necessary as a means to induce people to work, as they are able and trained to do, willingly.
Motivation is an important function in organizations to motivate their employees for their ability to perform well, improving their skills, increasing productivity, job satisfaction and employee extension. Employees also are not a machines that we could just program their task in their brain and they will do it automatically, they require motivation to actually do their job properly. And so, after discussing the process models of the Maslow’s “Hierarchy of needs”, Douglas McGregor theory X and Y, and also the Herzberg’s “two factor motivation hygiene theory.” understanding the ways of motivating people, the human nature, and the substance of nature. I believe that the true motivation can only come from within and also managers can actually motivate all of their employees.
According to Robbins & Judge (2009), motivation is the result of the interaction between an individual and a situation. Further, motivation is defined as the processes that account for an individual’s intensity, direction, and persistence of effort toward attaining a goal, more specifically, organizational goals in order to reflect our singular interest in work-related behavior (p. 175).
Motivation is best defined as the needs, wants, and beliefs that drive an individual. It is the basis of what people work for and keeps them doing things they otherwise would never do. People act in a whole new manner when they are motivated by something. Motivation gives them a whole new perception of the task at hand. Motivation is not always positive though, and it does not always just come from one place, for example, your boss. Motivation can be negative by not receiving something, and contrary to popular belief it is not always money that motivates people to do what they do. People have different needs, wants, and desires and the finding what is most important to those individuals is the key to motivation. People and companies have used countless techniques and approaches to motivate others and employees, but what works for one person does not necessarily work for the other.
Motivation, as defined in class, is the energy and commitment a person is prepared to dedicate to a task. In most of organisations, motivation is one of the most troublesome problems. Motivation is about the intensity, direction and persistence of reaching a goal. During the class, we have learned a substantial theories of motivation and many theories of motivations are used in real business. Each theory seems to have different basic values. But, they all have been analysed for one reason, recognising what motivates and increases the performance of employees. Ident...
