lighter-skinned people, and having felt sympathy only by some Whites. As a matter of fact, these kind people happened to be treated less than human-like. These cruel people just couldn’t open their eyes wide enough to actually see that, in fact, humans were living among them, and not just themselves. They were all equal. To tell the truth, this cruel injustice happened to be all Martin had lived about, but he had enough. Motivated, he decides to act and make a difference for African- American’s rights. In Montgomery, Alabama, Martin Luther leads his first brunt.. The Montgomery Bus Boycott, the peaceful riot had been named. At this point in history, African-Americans had to sit in the back of city uses. Forced to sit over the engine, where hotness and sweat ran from every pore, these poor people made this a part of their daily lives. It came about in some instances, where the people couldn’t even sit at all, they stood the whole ride.. Sick and tired of this nonsense, they Blacks decided to object. They asked King to lead the protest and he agreed. On that day in 1955, King delivered a heartfelt speech to about 5,000 people at the Holt Street Baptist Church. The audience and the speaker agreed to avoid at all costs, not riding the city bus. At one point Dr. King, tells of a small anecdote. Sitting in his home, he heard his wife of two years, scream for him to come. He rushed over to his spouse, full of worry. She stood looking out the window and moved to peer through, also. The image he saw brought a smile to his face, and washed away all of his fear.Walking to work, school, or simply about their day, the entire black community commuted. They had kept their promise. This vow upheld for a little over a year. After this year, the Supreme Court ruled segregation on city buses outlawed and they had won the battle. The African-Americans celebrated with victory and triumph. Martin Luther King Jr.’s teachings were based on nonviolence and forgiveness. “Forgiveness is not an occasional act; it is a permanent attitude.” (MLK 50) Therefore, King led nonviolent protests. He also forgave those who were cruel and unjust towards him and his fellow friends. During the Montgomery Boycott, at church preaching, and while giving speeches, this fair inspiration brought peace to groups of people. These people not only believed in his teachings, but acted upon them in their daily life. These faithful, determined citizens were treated unfairly, yet they withstood wrongful doings upon wrongful doings and still remained sane. Dr. King motivated these people to stay true to their beliefs and live with non-aggressive acts. King believed nonviolence was not only. He taught and followed his belief that led us to be socially blended and kind to others, today. Furthermore, the land needed to feel a sense of happiness, Martin felt of this necessary idea. . The land, in this era, had a feeling full of darkness, sorrow, and distress. Someone needed to be the light for these people, and Dr. King matched to be ideal for this line of work. He inspired so many people that do nothing, but followed him. These people followed and followed to their heart’s content. Filled with joy, the nation hadn’t felt happiness in such a long time. Replaced with an even better emotion, the gloomy and dark feeling was lost in the wind. Dr. King guided nations to nonviolence and peace for these people, so why can’t he be that for us. The answer is, he can be. Throughout his time on Earth, King expressed so many emotions.
He kept as much peace that the world need at the time, forgave those who hurt him and others, and is an important role model for humanity today. Going back to the introduction, the definition states “value”. We all must remember we are not higher than one another, especially not in value. That is something MLK worked hard for us to memorize. Inspired by many and inspiring to all Martin Luther King Jr. had such a warm-heart and loved everyone he met. Unfortunately the sadness behind it all, is that not all loved him. On the day of April 4, 1968, King lost his life and the world lost an honorable man. Assassinated by James Earl Ray, King drew his last breath.. (Worldbookonline.com) Around the world, hearts were full of sorrow and mourn. People around the globe, still admire his life and rightful doings. Martin Luther King once spoke, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”
