Managing interruptions is an important part of any job in the sport industry. Interruptions frequently get in the way of the job. They may cause an organization to have delays or changes in their schedule. Keeping an interruptions log every day for at least a week, recording every interruption you experience, and marking down what is causing this interruption. Once this information has been recorded a this person needs to analyze the data they have collected. THis allows the person to schedule around these daily disruptions. Although, most interruptions will come without warning, it is important to have a strategy when dealing with them. Conquering these interruptions is not an easy task, but it can be done through analysis. In order to do this the subject must look at whether the interruption is valid or not. If an employee interrupts a boss in a busy situation, the boss may need to tell this person to talk to them another time. If this is the case the employer needs to politely ask the employee to schedule certain times to talk with them. These meetings can be held for everyone in an organization to state their questions or concerns. By holding these meetings an organization can save a tremendous amount of wasted time. When telling people the time that you are unavailable it is important to let them know that you are always available in the case of an emergency. Simply by closing the door or leaving a note outside is an acceptable way to let others know that they are busy. These can eliminate the distractions and will help to avoid employee conflicts. Having an open and closed door policy keeps everyone in check with their questions and concerns. Many people have different levels and perspectives of intensity. Children and their parents are sacrificing much of their time and money with youth sports. With kids starting at such a young age playing such intense sports it is increasing the amount of injuries that occur at younger ages. With the intensity increasing, children’s time is decreasing. Athletic trainers work along with the team coaches, physicians, and equipment manager to see that the players are receiving the best care possible. The team coaches and the athletic trainer work together to develop programs that will help the athletes meet the optimal level of physical condition. When players are in the best shape possible then they are less susceptible to major injuries that might occur. Athletic trainers also work with the equipment manager to make sure the playing and training areas are in working order (Field.1999). When working with the equipment manager their main priority is to make sure that the conditions of the playing and practice fields meet the changes of "local, state, and federal standards for safety and sanitation (Sigi Plus ,2000). The athletic trainer also works with the equipment manager to request equipment she may need to do her job such as braces, bandages, antiseptic, or cold packs. She is also responsible for recommending types of supplies she needs and making sure they are available. The trainer is also to work with the team physician in designing an rehabilitation program for an injured athlete. The trainer is also responsible for implementing a program that will help the injured player heal properly and maintain is endurance and strength. The age of overwhelming strength and stamina governing sports is over, and the age of the mentally tough athlete has arrived. Athletes are no longer the superficial jocks and robots programmed to accomplish one goal, victory. Modern athletes ranging from the high school to professional levels are faced with many pressures and temptations, normally outside the realm of their sport. These pressures can inhibit an athlete’s performance substantially; therefore, the pressures need to be dealt with by psychologists. The effectiveness of sports psychology is demonstrated through the fields many theories, applications, and variety of techniques and procedures.
The importance of strength training was collaborated along with task orientation in a study that consisted of 90 athletic males and 43 athletic females. According to the article, strength training has been one of most influential and beneficial aspects in initiating tasks in sports. In other words, task orientation was significantly high in terms of accomplishing and maintaining standardized, individualistic performance in sports. In fact, the study reveals that individuals high in task orientation tend to judge success as means of, giving absolute effort, performing to their best of ability, working together as team mates and taking pleasure in their sport; according to the participants who worked out in the strength training program. In similar terms, athletes with high task orientation demonstrated task oriented goals; in particular, undertake a new competence, as well as, bettering their original skill. The results proved that task orientation had considerate positive association with self-enhancing ego, and social acceptance. This correlates to the fact, that participants were more engaged to the sport with team collaboration, and mutual ability or skill with the sport. Self-esteem is, Palladino (1994) a blend of “self-confidence, self-worth, and self-respect. It involves respecting others, [along with] feeling a sense of harmony and peace within yourself” (sec.1p.1). The secret to higher self-esteem is the incentive to take accountability for one’s viewpoints, such as his or her aspirations, ethics, capabilities, and curiosities and to understand that these things combined is what makes them who they are (Palladino, 1994). However, the quest of higher self-esteem at times will cause sacrifices to be made by the individual to education, relationships, self-regulation, mental and physical health, as well as other concerns (Crocker & Knight, 2005).

In our society today it seems like sports rule the land. Everywhere we look, there is some kind of sporting event going on or being televised. Almost everyone could be considered a fan of at least one sport. Some people follow sports like a religion. With such an increased focus on sports, the athlete's performances are put under a microscope. This puts more pressure on athletes to give a winning performance. No longer do athletes play for fun, they play to win. This isn't happening just on the professional level; it is happening on all levels of sport. From little league to backyard football, the goal is to win at all cost. With this increase pressure, athletes are looking for more and more ways to better their performance. One such way, which is now gaining popularity, is Sports Psychology. Though this isn't a new field, its popularity is just beginning to take off. There is still a lot of skepticism about the validity or worth while of the practices used. The following is a review of a number of articles that outline different studies done that show how athletes can improve their performances. The articles were found using a database search of PsychInfo. Keywords such as increased performance, psychological practices, and sports were used to narrow the search.
Sports can help many at- risk youths. In order to participate in sports you need to be committed and willing to work hard. You also have to learn to respect others and accept that winning isn’t the only measure of success. Losing can build character as well. When youth participate in a sports they enjoy, they are less likely to engage in behaviors that are harmful or dangerous to themselves and others. It is for these reasons schools should strive to maintain athletic programs for their students.
Sports psychology is the study of how psychology influences sports, athletic performance, exercise and physical activity. Some sports psychologists work with professional athletes and coaches to improve performance and increase motivation. Other professionals use exercise and sports to enhance people’s lives and well-being. While finding ways to help athletes is certainly an important part of sports psychology, the application of exercise and physical activity for improving the lives of non-athletes is also a major focus.
The ball comes speeding over the net and slams down onto the face of the court landing just beyond the base line, the line running along the back of the court. I had called her winning point... "out." As I turned towards her, I could see the anger building in her eyes. We walked towards each other, and with only the net separating us, she began to confront me. She argued that, as she saw it, the ball was obviously in and that we should replay the point. I wanted this game as much as she did and we were both standing strong. I finally decided that there was no use in fighting. We had to resolve this argument between ourselves because there were no line judges to decide for us. We decided to replay the point and she won. I tried to convince myself that there would be times when a call would be questionable and that I should try not to point fingers. I still went home discouraged that night because I knew that the call I had made was fair.
Honestly, coming into this class, I had no idea what to expect. I have never been in a sports management class, and honestly don’t know much about sports with the exception of baseball. All I knew coming into this class is that it was online, which was a benefit to me as in I’m a better learner when I get to work at my own pace. However, when I read the syllabus and figured out that this class would be mainly writing proposals on different topics, it began to worry me. The last time I had written an essay was my senior year of high school, so I knew I’d have to bring out some of the old knowledge to be able to write a quality paper again. Even though writing papers is a dislike of mine, these proposals turned out to be a good experience

On a global standpoint, leaders will be expected to interact/communicate with other leaders all over the world. (PSI, 2018) This may require interrupters, which might cause
