A good way to get injured is by not training with the proper gear used in MMA including items like MMA gloves, mouth guards, and wraps for your hands. Another important factor when getting into MMA are the protecting MMA training gear like shin guards, elbow and knee pads and best quality headgear. Gloves and Wraps
There is no turning back once you have put on the wraps and gloves. These two are both crucial in providing expert protection during training. If you plan on competing in MMA, gloves will always be the most important piece of MMA training gear. During heavier training (sparring sessions) boxing gloves are very common to train with, MMA gloves are typically used when working on grappling and sparring and most importantly during an actual MMA match. Sparring is a completely different experience than using boxing gloves that is why it is crucial to get the right pair. There is a difference in timing, reach, finger maneuverability, and padding which makes it important for those who train MMA to get familiar with the feeling of MMA gloves during wrestling and sparring during training sessions. It is important to be informed of what are good quality, featured and priced gloves and wraps especially during training process.

Injuries are common in most sports that have a contact component attached. Whether it’s at a professional level, or a school level, injuries are always bound to occur in contact sport. This analysis will look into the role headgear could, should and would play, and debates whether it should be made mandatory. Olympic sports such as Ice Hockey, Bicycle Riding and Baseball are just some examples that currently require athletes to wear a form of headgear. However, Australian contact sports such as AFL and Rugby give the option for players to wear headgear for protection. In 2011, 14 year old Ben Robinson was hospitalised after being treated 3 times in a game for head blows in a rugby game . In 1994, professional boxer Bradley Stone died from head injuries whilst boxing against Richie Wenton . Examples like these show the brutality of contact sports. Because of this, my paper will look at the issue of headgear in contact sport and will particularly look at this issue at junior sports level.
In sports, there are always rules and regulations to what an athlete can ingest or use. They create these rules and regulations so competitors don 't have a physical or psychological advantage over their competition. These restrictions usually pertain to illegal drugs and substances that would give that athlete a boost in their performance. I personally agree with José Luís Pérez Triviño, a senior lecturer in philosophy of law, who believes technological developments, as well as many minor substances, will create transgenic athletes. D.A. Baker, explains that “prosthetics should be compared to some standard measure”. Prosthetics and technological enhancements should be considered as a restriction, considering it is an advantage just like
Step 1. You must be in very good shape to wrestle. If you drink soda stop now. Soda is very bad and unhealthy for your body and can make you gain a lot of weight! A good workout would be to jog a few miles in the morning and maybe lift some weights at night. Jogging helps your breathing and stamina. It also helps you get some leg strength which can help you break out of some moves like the Cradle. You will be sucking wind out on the mat if you aren't in good shape. Weights will give you more muscle to use which will be a very big help. That is why jogging and weight lifting are good for you if you are wrestling.

There are many ways you can prevent injuries from happening before they do occur. Make sure you lift the right amount of weight to ensure that your body won’t wear down or you won’t injure yourself. Lifting more than you need to will only make your body worse. Using poor form can get you hurt quicker and easier than any other way. Make sure that you are using the correct form even if that means hiring a trainer or having a spotter. Workouts that you know can help because you will know the correct position. Workouts without machinery and weights have a lesser risk of hurting you. Cassidy says, “Years of intense workouts take a toll on your body..... Cartilage wears down and muscles, tendons, and ligaments can become less limber” (1).

While the use of helmets does aid in protecting players from brain trauma, they also increase the risky behavior of players; this is called risk compensation. Risk compensation is the adjustment of individual behavior, responding to the perceived changes in risk (TheFreeDictionary.com). Most people that wear helmets have a pre-conceived idea that, because they have a helmet on, they can possess more daring behaviors and be fine. The helmet is basically thought of as a tool to hit harder, or improve performance in today’s culture. Adventure writer and pilot, Lane Wallace (2011) accurately understands the dangers of helmets being used incorrectly, and how they are used as weapons instead of safety. Wallace also theorizes like the NFL, a change in football culture and of viewpoints towards helmets would vastly reduce trauma to the

MMA or Mixed martial arts is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling skills, both standing and on the mat, from a selection of other combat sports. When I visited the Johnson Space Center in Houston I tried on a space helmet. It fit. The boots were another story but I can wear many layers of socks.
Another thing that is important to prevent injuries is to warm-up before you exercise. A warm-up prepares your body for exercise. When you warm up you get your blood flowing and loosen up your muscles. Loosening your muscles before exercise helps you avoid injuries to your muscles. When you first begin exercising you use less muscle fibers then you do when you have been exercising for a length of time. This reduces the strain on each individual muscle fiber. One injury warming up helps prevent is the tearing of muscles.
