There are so many reasons why I want to be a link crew leader. First of all, if I was a link crew leader, it means that I will be able to help the incoming freshmen. I remember going to the orientation in 9th grade. I was so scared, but the link crew leaders told me that I would be okay. The encouragement and the positivity that they showed me help me a lot and I really want to do the same for the upcoming freshmen. Next, becoming a link crew leader will also help me grow as a person. It will help me become more confident in myself and become a better leader especially after assisting students to transition from 8th grade to 9th grade. It will also help me grow better at communicating Overall; it will be a great experience for the upcoming
The Eastern European Jews had many troubles before immigrating to America. Jews are well known for overcoming hardships that are thrown at them. In A Bintel Brief, they weren’t exactly overcoming genocide, but they were having many hardships that would be tough for anyone including love, missing family members, poverty, and different religious problems. Many Jews had nothing but the clothes on their backs when they arrived in America. Few had money to bring along with them, all though some did have money. The majority of the people or families that came to America had to start with nothing, and work from the ground up. Some of the people were working for a measly two dollars a week. The Eastern European Jews at that time weren’t working for themselves most of the time. Most of the time they had whole families to feed, or they had prior obligations they had to fulfill. Many of the Jewish people’s wages were put towards a ship fare, to get their family out of Eastern Europe and into the free America. The majority of the Jews were working in shops all over. Many of the Jews were persecuted. They weren’t allowed to have certain jobs. One instance in the book a mother wrote in for her son, who desperately wanted to be a chemist. The mother was outraged, because many people were saying that they wouldn’t hire a Jewish chemist. A lot of the immigrated Jews were finding partners that weren’t of the same religion. The book mentions Gentile and Jewish relationships a countless number of times. Many of the submitters found their relationship with a gentile was not working, that they started out in love, but the other is teaching the wrong things to their children. On the other hand, many Jews were becoming freethinkers.
FBLA has been such a defining point in my high school career and vital part in who I am today and even who I will be in the future. Becoming an officer would allow me to see to that other students that are new to FBLA also experience the same things as I have so that they could not only grow within FBLA but also in life. I hope to, as part of becoming a potential officer, that I can encourage others in FBLA as was done to me by older peers. Hopefully with this, we can have a large increase in membership and activity to improve our chapter.
It was a bit intimidating, considering I wasn’t the confident 17-year-old I am now. What made it easier was that I had a Link Crew Leader. In order to give back to my school, I decided to be a Link Crew Leader as well and after going through an interview I was given the position. Link Crew is a program created for incoming grade eights. We as leaders welcome new students to our school, make them feel comfortable and create an environment where they can be themselves. This eventually enables all these students to place all their energy on their education without having to worry about other social issues. I strongly believe in the mission behind the program and the importance of education and how every child should be given a fair chance at it as well. I 've been in Link Crew for two years now, and I 've learned about the importance of acceptance and how simple actions can enlighten someone 's entire perspective on things. When I found out that I was one of the captains of the Varsity Sideline team, I had a beaming smile and felt satisfied with my achievement. As captain, cheerleaders on the varsity and the JV squads come to me with questions and small issues, and I enjoy the opportunity to help them. I have become even more organized and mature because the coach looks to me for help. Being selected as lead captain has had many rewards, it gave me a boost of confidence and inspired me to campaign for other leadership
With an upcoming drumline of around ten freshmen, eight sophomores, three juniors, and one senior we have a tremendous amount of work ahead of us and to achieve that goal of being the best we need someone to lead us. Our ensemble can become amazing and I have a lot of great goals I hope we accomplish next year but more than anything else our group needs motivation to become the best. And by the end of next year we will have pushed ourselves and we might be bloody and tired at the finish line but we will have made it. That 's what I strive for if I get the position of Drum Captain for the 2016 Pirate Drum Line.
Ever since I was little I wanted to be a captain just like my older sister. Back then I thought it was just a cool label, but in my past three years as a TCHS cheerleader I have quickly learned the amount of dedication and hard work this position entails. I qualify for being a captain because I have a good attitude, work well with others, and always put in an effort to work hard.
Throughout everyday tasks in the classroom, or outside of school, I step up and lead those who need to be led. I constantly find new opportunities to lead others and help the situation any way I can. Every summer the band has a marching band camp for a week straight that we must all attend. Being an experienced band member, I step up and assist all underclassmen and show then where to go and what they need to be doing. Instead of getting frustrated when giving the freshman directions, I am calm and collect and walk them step by step until they understand, something most leaders would not have time or patience for. With many plans to help others and lead within my community, I believe that I have what it takes to be a strong, and powerful leader for the National Honor Society.
I have cheered for many years and have always been a hard worker and a leader. Not only do I participate in cheerleading but I am a member of the spanish club, powerlifting team, beta club, PAL club, track, and am I member of the boles concert band, and on top of that I have had A honor roll for the the past two years and have maintained perfect attendance all year. I am noting this because I know that as a cheerleader we should represent the school so I do not only put my all into cheerleading but into everything that I do. I believe I am well suited to become the 2018-2019 Boles High School Cheer Captain because I am serious when needed to be, creative, and a natural leader.

As a freshman, I never really felt burdened by being the youngest and I can relate better to our new members. As the junior captain, I most likely won’t have to lead the team as the sole leader. Since elementary school I have been in Celina's Boy Scout Troop 69. Starting as a Tiger cub and after many years eventually becoming a Boy Scout. 10 years later it is my last year of being a Boy Scout and I will be aging out in April. From building fires, tying knots, and learning first aid, scouting has taught me life skills that I will never forget. The greatest lesson of all though has to be grasping the skills of being a leader. The character and roles of a leader are very important for everyone to understand. But they can also be hard to grasp. I was 16 and decided to run for the position of SPL or Senior Patrol Leader.
