The internship period was very fruitful which showed the face of real life job experience. I felt it to be quite effective to enter in the world of financial institutions. The internship experience has taught me how we can implement the theoretical knowledge in our practical life. I learnt interpersonal skill, communicational skill and technical skill that contribute in building knowledge in a broad way.
The interpersonal skills helped me interact with various types of customers and their various problems. The public relation skills also enabled me to develop the softness and being more formal while communicating with the people or customers. A positive attitude also helps while dealing with different nature of customers.

• The university curiculum can be improved to focus more on on-the-job training and on the market requirement
• The university curculum can be expanded to introduce the new technology used in the working world
• Another aspect to which I want to pay attention in general is the possibility to define with the industry common research themes which can be taken by student on the Master theses. Data can be provided by institution such as Finance House
• I also recommends to the university to carry out constant supervision and monitoring of students during the internship training so as to encourage them to perform the duties fully and also accurately. This will also put a close link between the academic supervisors and the field supervisors so as to foster appropriate assessment of what the interns are doing in the
Apart from the experience I have gained at LT Security Inc., my various internship positions have also exposed me to eye-opening responsibilities. For example, as a marketing intern at MySelf New York, I engaged in organized discussions with customers as well as colleagues in the pursuit of better promotional and marketing strategies. I have also gained experience with other matters such as employee coaching and assistance, employee relations, communication and implementation of policies and procedures during my time at Stony Brook University as intern in arts management and at Yunnan Changji Real Estate Co. Business internships are helping students gain real world experience while they are not actually out in the real world yet. Internships are becoming more and more popular with college students in today’s world. An internship is basically when a student in college goes to a company or business and works while they are still enrolled in school and still getting academic credit. The main purpose of the internship is for the student to gain valuable on the job work experience. But there are also other things that a student can get from internships. Internships help the student decide whether or not this line of work is correct for them. Since the student works in an occupation in which they are highly interested in it really helps them get a bigger picture of the outside world.
The basic knowledge about supervision theories and processes would help them transition into a supervisory role. Even at sites that do not ask internship students to be supervisors, they are usually asked to take a part in a supervision group where they hear other clinicians’ cases and give feedback. In such situations, students need to demonstrate interpersonal skills, clinical skills, theoretical knowledge, and skills in giving constructive feedback. I believe that information provided in this course would assist them to be successful in these supervisory and consultant roles at their

REFLECTING ON MY EXPERIENCES WITH MY INTERNSHIP AT CENIFE AND MY ENCOUNTER WITH ETHNOGRAPHY AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH EXPLORING THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC My internship with CENIFE was definitely a life changing experience. My primary task in the organization was to assist this organization with specific tasks, such as working one-on-one with the students that attend school at CENIFE, and doing some information gathering work to gain information on the CENIFE students’ families so this organization can better care for each of the student’s/kid’s family units and cater to each student’s specific academic needs. I went to this Dominican program with a contingent of students from Rutgers University, who were all participating in the course ‘Research
There are many skills needed to deal with customers. They range from dealing with indecisive people to emotionally unstable ones and even timid ones. By using positive communication, good body language, and by actively listening, you can be sure that you can identify the problem that is occurring and start looking for a solution that not only makes the customer content but that follows the policies and values of the business. Most problems arise because not everyone knows these skills and how to use them. The right training can go a long way for a business and its relationships with its customers.

In particular, it was helpful to here from individuals on the panel that were graduates from our program. Elizabeth Cowart, a LPC at Transitions of Augusta, informed my classmates and I about about her personal internship experiences. She noted four key things (1) the importance of getting as much hands-on experience as possible (2) taking a mental note of the what you like and dislike at each internship site (3) using weekly supervision hours to discuss your areas of strengths and weaknesses and (4) remembering to always maintain a professional image. In addition, she also gave a brief overview of opportunities (e.g., adolescent group therapy, child and parent therapy, disability evaluations, etc.) that interns might have at Transitions of
The quarter has finally come to an end, and with that, I close out my internship and this class that went along with it. It was a great experience and I leave equipped with a new set of skills that are preparing me for the world ahead. As I write this reflection paper, I think back to the very first week when I set up two goals for myself to focus on and hope to achieve throughout the following weeks. My first goal was to develop a better understanding of myself within the work place, and my second was to develop a strong network to jumpstart my career. Both of my goals were achieved, however, I don’t feel that either of my goals will ever be complete. I believe that you can always formulate a better understanding of yourself, and you can always network to develop a stronger tree of connections. I know for a fact, however, that I reached satisfaction with both of my goals at this internship at MKI and know whole-heartedly that I did everything in my power to exhaust my resources in
Throughout my internship, I was well trained and did receive a fruitful experience. The real working environment prepared me for future employment after my graduation. However, I did encounter some problems, which I gradually managed to deal with. Whatever happens, productivity increases by keeping a positive attitude.
My internship experience this semester was interesting. I interned at ESH/MESH with Bridgeway. My Supervisor was Emilie Banz. I didn’t do much but I did learn a lot from this experience. I met a lot of great people and watch PsyR in action. I met a couple of individuals who were really cool. My experience this semester has prepared me for the next.
