Almost everyone attempts to live a healthy lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle is not only important for physical health but mental health as well. Every day, individuals consider changing their eating habits. There are several ways of eating available to chose when aiming for a healthier lifestyle. For example, a multitude of individuals have been converting to the ketogenic way of life. The ketogenic diet was first introduced in the 1920s to help control seizures. There are numerous benefits of the ketogenic lifestyle. The primary reason that various people begin living this way of life is weight loss. In a video about the benefits of the ketogenic diets, Dr. Josh Axe (2015) states, “The ketogenic is the best diet for very fast weight loss. The reason it works so effectively is that when your body goes into ketosis and starts burning fat for energy. Your body is burning up its own body fat, and your body also stops feeding on sugar. The reason being body burns own body fat for energy. Your body will continue to burn fat even while you are sleeping so your body will burn fat 24 hours, seven days a week not just burning the fat you consume but burning your own body …show more content…

This way of life has been known to help individuals lose weight and improve or completely relieve many health conditions. The ketogenic lifestyle helps control seizures and lessen the spread of cancer cells throughout the body. While many individuals begin this way of life to help with weight loss, they continue the ketogenic lifestyle for the many health benefits it provides.
