Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) noted during his opening remarks that FirstNet has achieved its greatest milestone with the release of the Request For Proposal (RFP) to award a contract for the deployment and operation of the network. Chairman Walden cited that early controversy hobbled FirstNet’s efforts, but if they are able to maintain the timeline for the RFP process, proposals will be due just one year after the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) report. That report identified several risks
IMSA is a school that offers a vast amount of opportunities for every student who attends. If I attend IMSA, I will use every resource available to obtain the best education possible, and I will do my best to make an impact on the IMSA learning environment. IMSA offers programs and clubs that do not exist at my school, and also offers challenging classes that I cannot take at my school. I plan to use these invaluable resources to the best of my ability.
In 2007, the courageously hopeful President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, announced the pioneering Yasuni ITT Initiative to the General Assembly of the United Nations ("What is the Initiative?"). It was a groundbreaking plan to save the unexploited ITT oil reserves (“What”). The initiative asked the world to donate $3.6 billion to Ecuador, in order to subsidize half of the profits the country would have gained if they opted for oil exploration (“What”). Regrettably, this visionary proposal to fight climate change recently failed in August 2013 (Associated). Ecuador only managed to collect $13 million and $116 million in pledges, which was not enough to continue this project (Associated). The Yasuni National Park, an ecological biosphere that contains two uncontacted tribes and plenty of wildlife, will slowly be destroyed by allowing oil drilling (Hill). While the drilling will boost the economy, it will strip the park of all its natural glory and disregard past exploitations of the land.
In the First Year Seminar (FYS) we learned a multitude of essential skills that we can use to apply for the rest of our college experience, and years down the road. Throughout the first week of class we learned about Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs), essentially they are skills that the students are suppose to know thoroughly by the end of the semester. The six major SLOs that were presented in a majority of FYS classes the first one is access to diverse information through focused research, active discussion and collaboration with peers, this skill is important for college and professional life because it is important that one is able to converse appropriately and knowledgably amongst peers. It is a great skill to have because it shows that a person can work well in a team. The second skill from the SLOs is the ability to separate facts from inferences and relevant from irrelevant information, and explain the limitations of information. This skill is essential to build upon because gaining problem-solving skills one can work through sticky situations. Problem solving skills are great for college and professional life because one can get through tough problems quickly and efficiently, without this skill time is wasted. The third skill from SLO’s is evaluating the credibility, accuracy, and reliability of conclusions drawn from information. This skill is valuable among college and professional life due to the fact that it allows a person to back up their arguments for papers with reliable sources that are credible and accurate that supports the information. Otherwise the argument doesn’t have any supporting evidence to continue their argument to get their point across, if not gained correctly the argument becomes irrelevant in the ...
My Jungian typology is ISFJ. I have previously taken a similar self-assessment with the results of ISTJ. In reading the results for this assessment I only have a slight preference of Feeling over Thinking I believe the current assessment matches my personality at this stage in my life. I believe my strengths of being supportive, observant and hardworking are an asset. I often think things through to form a plan that has details and logic behind the concept. I stay organized and on time to complete the task at hand. My weaknesses of my typology are being shy, taking things too personally and not saying "no" when I'm overloaded.
After taking the Myers Briggs test I received the type of INFJ; meaning introverted, intuition feeling and perceiving. After looking my results up on 16personalities website I could look further into my personality. We are referred to as the “Advocate” and have an “inborn sense of idealism and morality” we also are not just dreamers we make concrete steps toward what we want and how to make things better. We have very strong opinions and will fight to make sure that they are heard, we also have a way of making connections with people much easier than others. We speak with a sense of belief and when we talk about things that matter to people like me it isn’t meant for personal advancement in meant for world advancement.

The first thing that we must consider about Information Security is that there is not a final destination at which we can arrive. IT Security is an ongoing set of processes and activities that requires attention and expertise on a daily basis. It is important to understand that systems are not secured by themselves and it is our responsibility to maintain and improve them periodically as required. It is of vital importance to establish the appropriate mechanisms and requirements in order to support the company’s CIA triad. The following report will provide you guidance about auditing and hardening techniques applied though the 7 Domains by utilizing IT Security Best Practices.
I tend to stay cool calm and objective in situations where others are upset. Unlike the personality type of a feeler, I would rather settle a dispute based on what is fair and truthful rather than on what will make others happy. I remember numbers better than faces and names. I believe that being right is more important than being liked. I will take up both sides of an argument just to expand my overall understanding of issues. I do not mind making difficult decisions. A weakness to this trait is that I can become frustrated at those who argue about things that I feel aren’t relevant to the issue at hand. (Kroeger,
