Answer: “Family” in my culture is composed of parents and their children. The father is the major breadwinner of the family and is responsible for everyday expenses. The mother has a major economic role; she has a responsible role in budgeting. She also plays a crucial role in running everyday affairs of the family members, schooling, cooking, and helping the children with assignments. The male and female children are closer to their mother because their father is barely at home. The grandparents usually care for the children when the parents go to work. Yes, the gender roles in Iran are changing because children are becoming lazier. Technology has made them not to read or focus on what is important.
