I grew up on the waterfront of the Columbia River. The quaint, picturesque town of Kalama Washington was my hometown from before I can remember. The damp small town emulated a coastal environment, complete with heavy rainfall and dim daytimes. Tired, worn down buildings clad in paint chipped walls and climbing ivy dot the streets and hills. Scenic post-card worthy views of the river stretch out before wide front windows. Tourists stampede through musty antique shops and 50’s themed diners, breathing in the retro town in all its vintage glory; only to discard its significance once entering the freeway. Umbrella carrying locals paint their aging homes pastel shades to combat the grey, gloomy veil blanketing the town. Everyone living in Kalama
Leaves danced in time with the wind across the grey main street of 'Lake Awe' as he walked down the middle of the road. The ghosts of children, women and men were the only life that walked these streets; he could hear their soft voices and whispers in the wind. Not even his long japara jacket could keep the wind from leaking into his spine as the lives of the people of 'Lake Awe' flowed through him. He shivered, and dipped his head into the scarf that surrounded his neck, to stop the memories of the town from corrupting and clouding his mind. A town like this has a story that only residents who used to walk down the once warm, life-filled streets would know; he was not sure that he wanted to know. He did not truly know what brought him to 'Lake
We’ve let out more sweat than we ever have before. Off in the distance we see trees, and where there's trees there's water. Every step felt like we lost a part of our body. When we finally make it to the trees we saw three trailers and a small, covered porch. We approach it not knowing what or who could be in there. We find stale oatmeal, cans of beans, beer and jerky so old it's turned white. We may be able to stay alive for two weeks with this. Everything out here is horrible, I don’t know how anything could live like this but it’s not normal, no animal or human being should have to live in this kind of heat.
It all started when our overrated adventurer, The Flying Lotus, woke up in a magical cornfield. It was the first time it had happened. Feeling scarcely pleased, The Flying Lotus slapped a gerbil, thinking it would make him feel better (but as usual, it did not). A few unsatisfying minutes later, he realized that his beloved invisible cloak was missing! Immediately he called his redheaded stepchild of a 'friend', Lady Wonder. The Flying Lotus had known Lady Wonder for (plus or minus) half a million years, the majority of which were sassy ones. Lady Wonder was unique. She was attractive though sometimes a little... dimwitted. The Flying Lotus called her anyway, for the situation was urgent.
The mother pondered over each place with such scrutiny, and the son sighed, “Why don’t we just go to Hawaii? At least they have a beach to cool off when it’s hot.” He was forced to stay in the scorching room with his mother to decide on their next vacation. Couldn’t he be able to play while his mother searched for a place? He just sat there for the past hour in silence, after all.
Until now, holidays in the Colorado Rocky Mountains had always been her favorite time of year, but that was before the money ran out—before facing eviction.
Theta poked his head into the firing range. Jack was near a table, loading all sorts of guns. His stomach practically churned at the sight, but he fought against it and walked in. He leant against the wall, arms folded. He was practically telling his mind to go ahead and do this--but his body was disagreeing time and times over. ‘’Alright,’’ the captain said, turning to him. ‘’We’re gonna need eye protection and ear defenders.’’ With that, he handed a pair of headphones to Theta -- blue with the Torchwood logo donned on the sides. He took them and put them on -- and did the same with the yellow-colored glasses. Jack did the same, and picked up yet another automatic. ‘’It’s all yours,’’ he handed it over.
In the deepest part of the forest, there lives a girl. She was only 12 years old, hair color of a pale corn, and eyes of a dark shade of hazel. Her skin color is a light tan, with a few scratches and patches of dirt. The dress she wore is a simple white dress with some pink lace around the hem of the dress. It was covered with stains from the forest. The child didn’t have any shoes or anything covered her feet. That didn’t bother her. She always watches where she stepped, and she likes the feeling of dirt or water under her feet.
As he finishes, the waiter speaks. “Let us have a toast to Princess Isabella as she graces us with her beauty and presence.” She then blushes, stands up, and then boasts about her life; mostly on how nice it is to be wealthy. After that, she drinks. As the food makes its way, the princess begins to feel
"Hmm," she murmured. "I was," Cinder stood on tip toe and pressed a kiss to his throat. "Not anymore though." She felt him shifting and cracked open an eye, too comfortable to move. Kai draped his coat over her.
Sora leaned back on the side of the Mysterious Tower, an enigmatic building reaching so high, it scraped the bottom of clouds. A thought swirled in his head as his eyes rested on the cream orange sky. 'I wonder if those are okay, Aqua and Terra.' He suddenly sat up. "Terra and Aqua...why did I think of them just now?"
Last summer, I went to Hawaii with my family and friends Vasu and Parth who are now in high school. The lesson which I learned is to not play when someone is tricking you. We landed at 9:00PM, rented a car, reached the resort which had seven restaurants, two swimming pools, and a sandy beach nearby.
(Talking To Myself) “What should I write about?” “ I should write about my trip to Hawaii, Nah!! that ‘s too boring” “Ooh-- I should write about Mike, that might help me get my grades up and I should probably change his name to John or something like that” “So let’s get started”
When anyone is at a calm state or relaxing they have different things they think about. Whether that is a beach, or a calming sunset it is all your personal preference.
In 2014, my aunt and her wife surprised my family with a trip to Hawaii. My dad was born in Hawaii and had not been back since he was young. When he was sick in the hospital, my aunt asked my dad what his biggest wish was; he said he wanted to go to Hawaii. After waiting for my dad’s health to improve, the trip was finally planned. In June, we flew to the island of Maui. When we got there, the atmosphere felt different from how it is in Alabama. Hawaii is a beautiful place with many adventures waiting. Out of all the vacations, my family has been on; our trip to Hawaii brought us all closer together.
