Now you’re in a pickle! What do you do your invention is destroyed? There are some invention that were purposefully designed are failures, and other inventions became successful on accident. Inventors will try to invent something they are thinking about, but when they do it becomes a failure. There are inventors that do not know what they want to invent, but when they invent something they do not know what it is used for but it will become a success. What can an inventors do to ensure success?
An inventor can ask people’s opinion to ensure success. In passage three paragraph three it talked about the potato chip, and how it became popular. In passage three paragraph three it stated,”soom. Potato chip were in demand all over the country.”

The chef knew that potato chip were going to be popular because the person he gave it to loved them alot. In passage four paragraph four it talked about a man named Ted Spence that invented a hairbrush for bald man and his inventor was not a success. In passage four paragraph four it stated,” If you have ever seen a bald man, you certainly must wonder why he would need a hairbrush.” He thought that bald men were going to need a brush, and he was wrong. He spend many years trying to make a brush for bald man. If he had asked for people for their opinion, he would not wasted his time building something that people would not use. If inventors ask people for their opinion, it would stop them from building something people do not want. Another way an inventor can ensure success is to do research.
In passage three paragraph two it talked about how a man tried to build something that could be used to build plain, but it was weak and he ended up creating the sticky note.If the guy did some research than he would have done a better job of inviting what he was creating. In passage three paragraph two it stated,” Spencer silver was trying to design a strong adhesive that could be used to build airplane.” He tried to build something that would help build a plane, but he could never do it and he ended up creating the sticky note. In passage three paragraph three it stated,” however, what he ended up with was a very weak adhesive that could easily be stuck to and remove from objects without leaving any damage.” If he would have used the invention he invented to build the airplane than the airplane would have fall apart. In passage four paragraph three it talked about how a man tried to build a snow storm mask, but it ended up looking like a giant clear bird beak. If the person that build the snow storm mask would have done some research than his mask would have not look like a clear bird beak. In passage four paragraph three is stated,” Essentially, people looked as though they were wearing a giant, clear bird beak on their face!” If people would do research on there invention than they would have succeeded on
them. In conclusion invention can be a success or it could be a failure. To make inventio better inventors could do research or asked people for their opinion on it. In body paragraph one it talked about how people should ask for other people opinion before building something they do not want to use.In body paragraph two it talked about how inventors shold so research on their invention to improve them. Inventors should do these two things and more to improve on their invention for other people to use.
She wrote me a letter and asked if her analysis had been correct. How I longed to say “absolutely.” The truth is, if there are any symbols in my work they exist largely by accident or through someone else’s interpretive design” (956). While I am sure many hours of research were poured into that student’s interpretation, this goes to show that the most complex answer is not always the correct one.
The factory whistle blows right in the middle of your favorite dream. You wake up in a startle as you glance at the clock. 5:30 am. You rush to get out of bed, seeing that you have to get to work in 30 minutes. You splash some water on your face, brush your teeth, put on some fine factory clothes, pull your hair back, grab an apple and run as fast as a gazelle. The Industrial Revolution had both positive and negatives on the lives of adults and children during that time period.
During the late 1800’s, there was a time of great change. This was near the end of the industrial revolution in America. Some of the greatest inventions were invented during this time. We still use most of the inventions today, they are just modified to fit the needs of America today. 3 of the major inventions and innovations that came out of this time were the telephone, typewriter, and the incandescent light bulb.
The impact of the Industrial Revolution was a positive experience for some, but it was a great difficulty for others. Because of the demands for reform and protection for workers arose, government and unions began to take place. That was how the evils of the Industrial Revolution addressed in England in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Throughout our lives, we encounter promising advertisements from desperate companies attempting to campaign the next innovative product. The Onion's satirical article on MagnaSoles utilizes several rhetorical devices to sell its latest, groundbreaking item. By applying the MagnaSoles as a model for modern day products, The Onion humorously mocks the ridiculous promises and claims that companies offer their customers to market such "marvelous and unmatched" novelties. By presenting a sarcastic, exaggerated tone throughout the essay, we are able to dwell in the true hilarity of advertisements' impetuous pleas. The Onion uses doctors and "experts" to explain the revolutionary technology that MagnaSoles offers the public, even going as
But Innovative is something most people can do. Making a telephone takes both creativity and innovative. According to “Source B,”in paragraph 2 the author states “Creativity is a function of knowledge, curiosity, imagination and evaluation.” By stating this means that when inventing something better than others most inventors had a vision which leads to the second evidence. Also in source b the author stated “that discovery may also spur an innovative idea of how to apply it.” This means, with the inventor’s vision or discovery, the can use it on their invention which is supposed to be something better than the old one. The telephone or any other invention takes an inventor to have a vision. So that vision leads to inventing something better that even more changed people’s lives. For instance, now with the telephone, people can call other people that is on the other side of the world. So the old telephones are like 2 cans and a long string attached to it. With the inventor’s vision, it made something better from going something like cans and a string to a
The most successful businessmen during the industrial revolution believed that who they set themselves up with determined whether or not they would be successful. This statement is true because a successful person needs to make partnerships and deals to grow a company or business. Although some of these men are very accomplished, they make bad decision.
In the 18th century an abundance of revolutions occurred. In many people's lives a spark for change overcame them. Many began questioning the authorities and beliefs they were forced to follow before using scientific methods. During the 18th century England benefited from the Industrial Revolution in a small extent. First, the cities of England became extremely unsanitary and very crowded. Next, the working conditions within factories were brutal and terrible for the workers. On the other hand, people were still able to benefit from the growth of transportation and increased amount of goods.
Up until the 19th century, Great Britain had been a primarily agricultural-based country, with a small amount of domestic industry mixed in. Great Britain developed the enclosure movement to better raise animals and the cottage industry to help supplement the income from farming. This system changed when James Watt perfected the steam engine and the factory system was created to increase production. The Industrial Revolution did not improve life for the people of Great Britain as the majority of people were not wealthy. Lower class children was forced to work in factories at a price set by the factory owners and in conditions chosen by the owners, lower class people could not afford to pay for the advancements in transportation, and were forced
The Industrial Revolution began in the late 17th century and was an era where many different countries were advancing. Britain was the first country to start this era and soon spread to many other countries. The Industrial Revolution benefitted the empires because of the materials the factories created. However, materials in the Industrial Revolution do not outweigh the social cost because of the harsh working conditions, the social class revolution, and the strict regulations. Therefore, the Industrial Revolution was effective in making life a struggle and dangerous in the social class.
breaking this statement into small pieces and key words, we can see it as a
N what ways does this quotation relate to the guidance triangle on page 56 or the 10 bullet points on pages 56 and 57 in the Browne and Gordon text?
I said that I wasn’t saying one way was better than another way, and that probably you could write good books in all sorts of ways, certainly I was not particularly wise about how to write good books, because I only wrote one book at a time, and very slowly, too, and whatever I learned while writing one book seemed to be utterly lost the next time I wrote a book, because the books were as different as people or animals or trees are, and whatever you think you know about a person or an animal or a tree because it is a certain species or color or nativity is probably egregiously wrong, because assumptions are foolish, as far as I could tell. She said that one of her ambitions was to someday write a book with a really good pen, and I said that, by happy chance, I had a terrific pen on my person, in the shirt pocket where I always carry pens with which to start books if book-starting seems necessary, and that one thing authors should be with each other is generous with good
