Motivation is the energy that makes us do things: this is a result of our individual needs being satisfied so that we have inspiration to complete the mission. “Motivation is the process whereby goal-orientated activity is instigated and sustained” (Schunk, Pintrich & Meece, 2008. As cited in Eggen & Kauchak, 2010, p.284). Motivation comes in many forms and can be divided into two broad categories - extrinsic and intrinsic motivation. Extrinsic motivators are external factors which can motivate a student; rewards are an example of this. An issue with extrinsic motivators is that the desire for the learner to participate often lessens, once the rewards are withdrawn (McCullers, 1987). On the other hand intrinsic motivation comes from within - learning for the joy of it - where the desire to learn leads to a higher level of knowledge, and is a reward in itself. Kohn (1996, p.285) states that research suggests, “Rewards actually decrease interest in intrinsically motivating tasks, therefore sending the wrong message about learning” (as cited in Eggen & Kauchak, 2010a)
Mullins (2002) classifies motivation into Intrinsic and Extrinsic types. Intrinsic motivation involves psychological rewards to enhance job satisfaction, such as the opportunity to use one's ability, a sense of achievement, receiving appreciation and positive recognition or being treated in a considerate manner (Mullins, 2002:P490). Such methods ensure employees are constantly motivated while being engaged in activities that are enjoyable and rewarding.
Intrinsic motivation is the act of being motivated through internal satisfactions and enjoyment as oppose to external rewards (Ryan and Deci, 2000). The concept of intrinsic motivation has been linked to the success of games in education due

Motivation is what causes us to act, whether it is getting a glass of water to reduce thirst or reading a book to gain knowledge. Goal Setting is where we set specific targets aims that we wish to achieve, they need to be S.M.A.R.T or else they become dreams rather than believable goals. .
One cannot deny that motivation is the main driver for achieving objectives, led by their own thoughts, feelings and emotions. This is a process of voluntary decision of the individual for a certain deliberate action or inaction in a particular situation. Motivation is a factor determining the behavior of workers in a given environment, their physical and intellectual participation and willingness to work exactly in this company with this team. When in one person arises the desire to conquer a goal, he feels the need to do it one way or another and this leads to his justification.
Motivation is crucial to any organization. Consequently, many leaders have attempted to describe the essence of motivation. Dr. Bartel (2016) describes motivation as, “The human force that initiates, guides and sustains goal-oriented behaviors. It is what causes humankind to act to fulfill desired goals.” In other words, motivation is the force within a person that compels

Motivation is driven by two things desire and ambition, when someone wants to achieve something or reach a certain goal, without these two things desire and ambition one will lacks motivation. Motivation is needed everywhere weather it’s to become rocket scientist or just get out of bed in the morning, matter how big or small the task. People with motivation have a clear sight and understanding of what they want and will don’t everything in their power to achieve it because of their fixed desire, confidence, and faith in the ability. So it is clear that to succeed in anything motivation is very important. (Remez Sasson, 2014)

Motivation is the force that transforms and uplifts people to be productive and perform in their jobs. Maximizing employee’s motivation is a necessary and vital to successfully accomplish the organization’s targets and objectives. However, this is a considerable challenge to any organizations managers, due to the complexity of motivation and the fact that, there is no ready made solution or an answer to what motivates people to work well (Mullins,2002).
Motivation may be narrowed down to stemming from and internal or external sources or more precisely extrinsic motivation related to tangible rewards such as salary and fringe benefits and also intrinsic motivation related to psychological
Theorists believe that motivation within the classroom has its benefits when able to produce work from students. Some students have the ability to work without much motivation. This is known as intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is where students are able to motivate themselves and produce work at high standard. The students have to be determined to strive and have the self-ability to do the work that is needed (Brewer, Dun, Olszewski, 1988). Students who need more praise and encouragement to produce work come under the category of extrinsic motivation. Extrinsic motivation is about rewarding the students for their work. If a student is able to get done what they have been asked, they will be rewarded with for example a sticker or a lucky dip. Extrinsic motivation for some students means the reward is...
Motivation is best defined as the needs, wants, and beliefs that drive an individual. It is the basis of what people work for and keeps them doing things they otherwise would never do. People act in a whole new manner when they are motivated by something. Motivation gives them a whole new perception of the task at hand. Motivation is not always positive though, and it does not always just come from one place, for example, your boss. Motivation can be negative by not receiving something, and contrary to popular belief it is not always money that motivates people to do what they do. People have different needs, wants, and desires and the finding what is most important to those individuals is the key to motivation. People and companies have used countless techniques and approaches to motivate others and employees, but what works for one person does not necessarily work for the other.

It’s just because they have their own interest and they enjoy doing that. On the other side, when a student is extrinsically motivated they just do it for the reward that they will get. That’s why in learning process it’s important that each student should
