2.1 Introduction
Technologies are increasing rapidly and shaping not only the traditional marketing but internet marketing as well. That is why marketers are facing a great global competition in terms of modern marketing. Marketers should know this thing that new technologies can help them by making their work simple, so they should shift to latest technologies and some new things. Business gets success when it comes with something new and interesting. That is why marketers must change their strategies as the tradition, trend, and environment changes. When we talk about changes and technologies, we can’t forget viral marketing, which is a form of fresh marketing. Many advertisers and companies are moving towards it. (H.B Klopper, 2002)
Consumers pay millions of dollar for an advertisement campaigns, but word of mouth advertisement is absolutely free and reliable. This type of marketing spread quickly and effectively among consumers. (Jacques Bughin, 2010)
Internet marketing is a reliable tool and affordable. It is easy to introduce a product and brand through internet. It is easy for marketers to work on internet marketing. They can show a better thing to consumers in less time and cost. (Jamie Swartz)
Several factors affect consumers’ attitudes, actions and decisions. Public catch information from social networks, which is an important source of getting information and this, is also a very suitable source of information. People talk about their experiences with each other regarding a product or brand. This is how people get different kind of information about different brands and products. ...As more and more marketers are getting into online advertisements that is way the trend of internet marketing is increasing rapidly. Marketers know very well that consumers spend more time on internet, so they started targeting internet users. (The economic times, 2004)
Many advertisers are spending time and money on online technologies. More marketers are advertising on internet and more companies are doing online business as well, so this is increasing the revenue of online media. Newspaper advertisement is declining because internet advertisement is facilitating both the marketers and the consumers. (Evans, David S. 2009)
Internet advertising is growing before 2000. In 2003 it revenues were increased by 38 percent. It was the highest record at that time. It was a great advantage for the marketers, who were into internet advertisement. ( The economic times, 2004)
