Twitter is a famous worldwide online social networking and microblogging service that enables users to send and read "tweets" these are text messages limited to 140 characters only. Registered users who signed up can read and post tweets, unregistered users can only read them. Internet users access Twitter through the website interface, SMS, or mobile device app. Instagram is a famous online photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that allows its users to capture pictures and videos, use and apply digital filters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr. A distinctive feature is that it produces photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid image types. Users are also able to record and share short videos lasting for up to 30 seconds.

Instagram was founded in 2010 by Kevin Systrom. Kevin was born on December 30, 1983 in Holliston Massachusetts. As a child, he was introduced to a game called Doom 2, which spark an interest in computer programming. Systrom attended Stanford University and in 2006, received a bachelor’s degree in management science and engineering. After graduating, he joined Google as an associate product marketing manager.
