Type one diabetes is something that last within you until your passing. The word diabetes is telling you that your blood glucose levels are high. With that being said, it’s telling you that your pancreas is done with making insulin. The insulin is the material to breaking down the sugars and proteins with the things you eat or drink. A hormone in the insulin helps the glucose give the cells their energy.
Diabetes mostly appears at any age, but often appears in young adults and children. To know the symptoms you could be getting is, being very thirsty, having to urinate often, Feeling very hungry or tired, losing weight without having to try, having sores that heal slowly, having dry, itchy skin and having blurry vision. In the middle of eighth grade, I was so skinny and fragile it felt like. I was participating in a basketball game and I couldn’t play to my best ability. I kept seeing light spots all over and I was so thirsty! It had gotten to the point my gym teacher was so worried after I came back from summer, she thought I was bulimic and called my mom. I hadn’t been diagnosed yet. During the previous three to six months I was losing so much weight for no reason. I always had a drink or snack in my hand. I had to or else I felt shaky and dehydrated. Another symptom I experienced, was that my skin would dry out so horribly. I’d have deep gashes from my skin drying out and cracking.
