As for the concern with genetic abnormalities a process called Amniocentesis can be performed before the sixteenth week into pregnancy. It is suggested that this screening be done sooner in the pregnancy. Amniocentesis is a fetal screening process in with they take fluid from your amniotic sac and derive cells from the fluid and make a culture out of the cells. You should consider this as the doctors can then examine the culture to indicate genetic or chromosomal abnormalities. I will forewarn you that it does contain the risk of causing a miscarriage however. Do to the fact that you are conceiving at this age it is recommended that you have some sort of screening done and in fact its quite the norm for women approaching towards their forties to have it done. There is a procedure that can be done later on in the pregnancy but it has a higher miscarriage risk. If you and your doctor come to the conclusion that this is not the route you want to go there is a blood test that can be done on both of you to detect neural tube defects like Spina Bifida and certain chromosomal abnormalities. This process is called alpha-fetoprotein. If you want to eliminate any extra miscarriage risk added from amniocentesis then you should opt to talk to your care physician about the latter of the two
Anyone would agree that 115 years is a long time. Considering that the Australian flag that we know and love today has been around around for that long, we can all agree it is time for a change. An informative speech, as the name suggest, provides an information to the audience. The purpose of the informative speech is to inform your audience on the topic that they might find relevant, or help them understand something that they find relevant, but need more information to understand it better.
Organization: Topical pattern. Audience analysis: The audiences are raging from 20-21, and are currently residential students at Liberty University. They are all from South Korea, but each has different backgrounds. Topic: Nursing can be used to show and share the love of God.
There must be a way to get out. I feel so alone, and lost. It’s dark in here and I don’t know where to go.
...s. Most women are fortunate and have an outcome of a full term, healthy baby, however, there are some women that are not so fortunate and have preterm births. With this said, all women, when contemplating pregnancy, should be aware of all the risks and possible complications that can arise and also the preventions that can be taken.
• Get proper medical care during pregnancy. Your health care provider may be able to prevent preeclampsia or diagnose and treat it early.
The woman who wants to get pregnant should give herself six months to a year to change her diet and lifestyle. Taking white foods, preservatives and processed food out of the diet should help to start the process of changing the dietary side, as well as cutting sugar, alcohol, caffeine and tobacco out (‘Minimizing Risks’, ‘Avoiding Toxic Exposures During Pregnancy’). Losing weight helps to prevent risks once the woman becomes pregnant, and daily exercise helps to improve blood flow. (‘Before Pregnancy’). Around the house, the woman and her spouse should minimize toxins in cleaning, as well as changing to eco-friendly cleaning products for surfaces and for personal care. Probiotics, vitamins and Omega-3s taken regularly should help, and avoiding mercury, the flu shot and pesticides (‘Minimizing Risks’). After becoming pregnant, the woman should continue her diet and take vitamins and antibiotics, as well as consuming more protein. Finding a midwife and having a natural birth at home can help, as well as avoiding ultrasounds during the pregnancy and inductions or pain medications during labor. Children born by cesarean section have a higher risk of having autism than babies delivered naturally. Even though a cesarean section may seem easier, it has more potential to cause harm in the end for the baby (‘During Pregnancy’, ‘Minimizing Risks’). Bonding with the baby after its
Pregnancy can be an exciting and sometimes frightening experience for many women. It was a snowy Sunday afternoon, and I was not feeling very well. I remember all week long, every morning I felt nauseated. I was craving odd foods, and foods I normally would not eat together. I was on the phone with my best friend explaining to her how I was feeling. She said “It sounds like you are pregnant.” That thought never even crossed my mind until that moment. Sure enough she was right, I was pregnant for the first time. I was excited to have a baby and never realized how many emotions or complications can take place during a pregnancy. Everybody that I knew that had babies, had such wonderful experiences. Unfortunately, this happy moment became such a monumental, emotional and stressful time in my life. During my pregnancy, I went through many emotional experiences from almost losing my child, to the uncertainty of a birth defect and early delivery.
As the age of fetus or gestation period prolongs, there are lesser chances of safe abortion (for mother) and increased chances of various complications. The soon a female realizes she might be pregnant or there are chances of pregnancy, she should immediately go to her doctor or take a home pregnancy test. For complete verification, a visit to a good gynecologist is more preferred as the results of home pregnancy tests are not completely

For my “How to do” speech my goal was to share with the class an interesting and informative way to learn something new. Due to the speeches time limit, I knew I needed to be well prepared. I wanted to be less nervous before and during my speech. While presenting I was nervous, but I didn’t really have time for these feelings to sink in because I was focused on the information I wanted to share with the audience. I enjoyed presenting in the second group of speeches so I could see my peers different types of speaking style. The audience seemed alert and interested in my topic which made it a little bit easier for me to speak, because there weren’t any distractions in the room from people not paying attention. I think part of that was because
Many people take for granted the opportunities they receive through the hard work of others, but this attitude needs to stop because it has become the “norm” for students to expect their teachers and professors to provide them with an education. While it is true that in the United States, students are required to attend school until the age of eighteen, many children around the world lack this luxury. This “right” is commonly looked down upon by students, because they do not have the motivation to succeed, as they did not have to work to get into school and to pay for their schooling. Everyone takes something for granted, whether it is an education, a roof over one’s head, food on the table, or the commencement speaker at one’s high school graduation, everyone forgets to be thankful. As Admiral McRaven stated, “But of all the things I remember, I don’t have a clue who the commencement speaker was that evening, and I certainly don’t
Summer has come to an end and school back in full swing. One is ready to crush the challenges facing a 5th grader. The last bell for recess sounds. Young boys race outside to enjoy the sun’s warmth. Name calling and horse-playing around immediately begins as they plan their weekend fun. Challenging each other to execute silly acts or daring one another to flirt with the girls across the playground. One yells out if you don’t jump from the top you are a sissy. Then one hears ask Julie out first. Recess is almost over when another one yells out he won’t…he’s a gay sissy. Silence has now blanketed the playground and one could hear a pin drop. Saved by the bell it was time to line up and head back to class. The final bell of the day
Specific speech purpose: To persuade the class that emotional/mental health is important, and is in fact even more important than their physical health.
