There are many times where someone wants to travel around local places with speed and style. Bicycles can help with travel and speed, but most bicycles aren’t that stylish to begin with. What is stylish and fast are skateboards, specifically Duster brands. I am a skater and owns a Duster skateboard and from my experience, I thoroughly enjoy riding my skateboard everywhere. The designs of Duster skateboards are unique compared to other skateboards. They have been shaped with a pointy nose at one end with thick wheels to help speed over cracks and have loose trucks to help make sharp turns. These boards are meant to go fast and travel far, overcoming cracks along the way. Duster Skateboards should be able to have teenagers skating through places at fast speeds with friends so that they could race or spend time just skating around town. Teenagers should need personal transportation in their lives so that they could reach point A to point B quickly. Duster Skateboards provides that their skateboards are fast and smooth to ride on. Teenagers are constantly going out with their friends most of the time and since some teenager aren’t old …show more content…
While the slogan has great meaning of being the place where we create skateboarding with passion, I believe we can change it slightly to have a pathetic approach towards people. By adding “For Skaters everywhere” in the slogan, it makes the skaters the center of attention and shows how valuable they are to us, making them feel like they are important. Also, by adding that quote we also target many other demographic from age, gender, and race so that nobody will be left out. This is good because we want everyone to feel important when they own a Duster Board and be included in the community. With a slight change to the slogan, we can now express how important everyone is when we make Duster
Hockey dasher boards have evolved over the years. Back in the day, when there weren’t hardly any fans, rinks were surrounded by 8 foot tall pieces of plywood. They left a couple short spots so the few onlookers could see the action.
Most scooters are younger kids. Do you see more 4 year olds running around on a skateboard or on a razor scooter? That's because you just hop and go on a scooter. They are young, lack tendency for a sustain skatepark effort (Skatepark Development Guide). They are causing accidents or jumping in the way.

During the 1950’s when skateboarding first got it’s legs it was a very popular activity to take part in during vacations to ocean side tourist attractions, or as an activity after surfing. Yet, by 1965, skateboarding had diminished in popularity completely, therefore almost every skateboard manufacturer went out of business. . During this time the only people who even wanted to skateboard were surfers who needed something to ride to practice their surfing while the waves were flat. Due to the fact that there were no skateboards being made or sold, those who wanted to skate had to take it upon them-selves to manufacture their own boards. Using any kind of scrap they could find to build a usable board out of, such as metal scrap pieces or old planks. These determined surfers had to unscrew the trucks and wheels off of roller skates and attach them to the bottom of their boards. And because these kids were from very poor families for the most part, and next to non had jobs of their own, they had to resort to taking the trucks and wheels off the roller skates secretly in the stores. Although.., the clay wheels th...
It is very hard to perform at the best of your ability with only being able to practice in your front yard. Skateboarders try to find a new place to skate, but come across a sign that reads “No Skateboarding” and get the cops called because they are on private property. Skateboarders strive to find those skatespots because they are the best way of learning harder tricks, without driving miles to a visit a skatepark outside their city. That 's why skateboarders have a tendency to put themselves in risk of prosecution by the police just to be able to reach their goals of becoming sponsored one day. A sponsorship is when a company wants to pay you to represent their product. This isn’t an easy thing to earn, but with a lot of dedication anything can happen. A skatepark nearby will allow kids to start practicing at a young age, so one day they hav...
Imagine being on the top of the world, on a bitter cold mountain, over top of an enormous crowd. Below where you stand, the lustrous lights are shining on a massive jump, that seems larger than the mountain itself, created for the professional snowboard competition. This gargantuan jump will decide whether you win or lose the competition. Becoming a professional snowboarder has been a dream to me ever since I first was beginning to snowboard. Being on top of the enormous slope and strapping into my bindings instantly made me relaxed and put a grin larger than the slope itself on my face. Everytime I glide down the face of the mountain I become focused and dialed in on my riding. When becoming a professional snowboarder as an occupation, I would
If you’ve read The Brave Ski Mom for any duration of time, you’ve probably observed that our whole family wears helmets: ski helmets, bike helmets, hockey helmets, lacrosse helmets and helmets while skateboarding. If we climbed, we’d wear helmets then, too. We LOVE helmets.
Interestingly enough, snowboarding was invented by Sherman Poppen in North Muskegon, Michigan, back in 1965. Nowadays, snowboarding is considered one of the most popular winter sports among teenagers. On the other hand, there are many people that don’t have the slightest idea how to ride a snowboard straight down a hill. There are four steps to learn the basic skills of snowboarding.
Skates used to be more like skis. Players glided on the ice rather than actually skated. Artifacts also show the use of animal bones as skate blades as well. Currently, steal blades are used. There is a small arc groove on the blade that provides the friction needed to counteract the slipperiness of the ice (Haché 37). The boot of the skate is hard enough to protect the foot from puck impact but also flexible enough “to allow the calf muscle to push forward and to ease knee bending when the player crouches” (Haché 35).
If a town has a skatepark that is built in the right spot and is also built correctly it could improve the looks of the town. Improving the looks of the town will attract people and skaters from everywhere. In order for this to happen the park has to be designed and built professionally. A few rails and ramps that are placed on the outskirts of the town are not going to improve the looks of anything. But, if a nice park is built in a busy, populated area where there are lots of people it will looks great. Not only do skateparks look good, but if it designed and constructed correctly, they are fiscally conservative and require little maintenance(Whitly). After they are built they practically last forever.
Freestyle is full of wild tricks, jumping and speed. The rider can be seen high in the air doing aerials, grinding berms, grabbing the board, jumping lumps, or riding backwards. Freestyle mimics skateboarding. Freestylers use natural obstacles to do their tricks. Riders find fallen trees, old buildings, bumps, dips and jumps where they can catch air and get their adrenaline going. They will also go to areas that have man made obstacle courses that resemble a skate park. In essence, it is a skatepark on the snow. These obstacles include ramps, jumps, and grinding bars. Freestylers also play in the halfpipe. It is a tightly packed area where dangerous tricks are performed. The rider must have great skill as they are moving extremely fast and catching major
Ledges, park benches, tables and many man made structures that you see in your everyday lives are used by people everyday, but very rarely in the same way that a skateboarder does. All over the world, skateboarders are kicked out of rural areas by law enforcement's and property owners just because of the fact that they are skating. Not destroying property or behaving badly; they are just there for their pure purpose to have a good time and learn new tricks, but there can still be a big amount of people that do not respect property, which doesn't help the problem skateboarders see today while they are blamed for destruction even if it isn't caused by them.. So why do most people deny a skateboarders right to skateboard in a specific area? That is a question asked by

As it is the designs would fade away pretty soon owing to the fact that a decent amount of skateboarding would scratch it off soon enough. You should buy 7 ply or 9 ply deck for best results (this means that there are 7 or 9 layers of ply respectively) and pay close attention to its shape. A good skateboard should be decently curved in the kicktails. 3. Pay Attention to the Trucks â€
