JROTC Essay JRTOC has opened my eyes to a whole new level to the meaning of school and so I think that if students take JROTC in high school would make them want to stay in school because having you say were in JROTC in high school will help you get better jobs, have a higher rank if you do decide to go into the military, or even get into a good collage. JRTOC has changed over the years as well as our uniforms. They have been green for the past 50 years and now the Army decides that changing the color to navy blue to represent our previous military personal has worn in the past. Students may make fun of you wearing the uniform but they only do that because they aren’t in any programs or have a low opinion or maybe even have a low self-esteem in themselves. JROTC’s mission is to motivate young people to become better citizens. JROTC builds discipline, confidence, and belief in the cadets. JROTC Cadets say that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to. JROTC makes us make good grades in school, have school involvement, and community service. JROTC makes us develop responsibility skills, and make us feel like we are a part of the team. If you do plan to join JROTC you will have fun experiencing different things. Unless you chose not to learn to respect authority figures, and memorize facts that can help me later in life. When I hear the pledge of allegiance, I say it aloud with my hand over my heart, when before I would just stand there, not knowing why I was pledging. Now I know that I say the pledge for all of the men who created our constitution after months of compromise. I say the pledge for the men who died in the American Revolutionary War.
