Interview Process The two jobs that we are developing an interview process for are: Director of Production and Assistant Director of Industrial Sales. As we can see from the job descriptions these are two completely different jobs within two different areas of the company but both are critical for the success of the organization. As a result, how to will test and interview for the two positions will be different as well as who will be involved in the interview process.
Director of Production

During phase one, the candidate will have a simple math test emailed to them. They must fill it out and email it back. The email back is also part of the test due to the fact that in this position the candidate will have to have great communication skills, including email. Phase two includes candidates coming into the factory where they will have a weld test, inspect welds, have a Microsoft computer test that includes writing a formal response to a real life situation that could occur and how to handle it, and a first interview with the HR director and the weld training specialist. All test results, resume, and written responses will then be given to the panel to review for consideration of candidates to interview. The panel, who are made up of: director of TCP sales, director of IND sales, CEO, CFO, and two lead men from the factory, will then pick the top five candidates to interview and bring them in. 1. Describe a situation where you had to work on a team with a difficult colleague.
2. Describe a situation when you had to work under a tight deadline, did you make the deadline?
3. Describe a time when you received criticism from an employee and from your boss.
4. Describe a difficult problem you faced in a professionally setting and how you approached it.
After all interviews are complete for both positions the panel will review the results of all tests and their notes from the interview and make the best decision on who to hire. Due to the fact that both interviews are structured they will be able to compare candidates fairly and accurately. All questions are designed to make sure they get the best person and greatest fit for the organization and the position. We want to try and minimize turn-over and it is believed these questions will help to do
