Per Cardon (2013), " Character refers to a reputation for staying true to commitments made to stakeholders and adhering to high moral and ethical values" (p. 8). In business relationships, character has always been essential. When establishing trust an individual's character is critical. In my opinion, a credible source is one whose arguments and facts are supported and peer-reviewed by certified experts in their specific fields such as scholarly articles and official government websites. I determine the credibility of a source by looking at several factors such as the author's background, the date it is published, and the type of source. I believe the author's reputation contributes to the credibility of a source, for example, an academic journal published by a professor in a prestigious university is much more credible than a blog post on the internet as it has gone through a rigorous review process.
