Recommended: Qualities of outstanding educator
There are quite a few things that have to be considered when thinking about important qualities of outstanding educators. A teacher’s main goal is to help their students learn. However, a teacher that only does this, hardly qualifies to outstanding, let alone average. There is an old quote that states, “People won't care how much you know until they know how much you care.” Though, it is a bit cliché, it is absolutely true. For example, I have memories of being in school and working harder for teachers that really seemed to care about me and how I performed in their class. There are a few components that work together to show students that teachers care about them. One quality that would show students that their teacher cares about them would

Describe the skills or attributes you believe are necessary to be an outstanding teacher. One of the most important skills that are necessary to be an outstanding teacher is getting to know the whole child/student in your classroom. It's vital that every student feels valued and a sense of belonging in the classroom and that comes from a teacher that is kind, encouraging, caring, respectful and passionate about learning and teaching. When a teacher carries those attributes, he or she is able to engage all students in discourse and instruction.
In reflecting on education, I believe the effective teacher is more than someone who can deliver content. An effective teacher must be caring and recognize the talents of his students. He serves as a role model for students and that impression does last a life time. I remember reading that people do not care about what you know until they know how much you care. I try my best to attend my student’s games or recital whether they are at school or in the community. I stop and talk to them and their parents in the grocery store and I make continuous parent contact. Not just when there is a negative behavior that needs correcting; but, to give some positive feedback as well. I believe this is why I have
In my opinion, a good teacher should be one who puts her heart into teaching. This is because only by doing so will the students feel their passion and hard work. When a teacher strives hard for the students, students will put in their effort as well. If a teacher dislikes her job, goes to classes in a bad mood, her teaching would also be affected and students would not be able to enjoy lessons as well. Another thing that makes a good teacher is his/her patience.
Everyone knows that when it comes to making a difference in a child’s academic and life achievements, their teachers play a large role. Teaching is a difficult job, and one that I believe requires a vast array of skills and attributes in order for one to be successful in. The image of ourselves that we project to our students can become a model for our students to follow. Many people, myself included, still remember many of their high school teachers and look up to them as role models. It is important to recognizes the skills and attributes that teachers have not simply because they will help you to be successful in your career, but because we want to ensure we are being positive role models for our students.

However, to me one of the main qualities of becoming an effective teacher is to be caring. As a teacher one must be able to take the time to get to know their students on a personal level although on some occasions it is found to be hard to communicate with students. It will be considered a positive approach towards dedicating some of your time towards your students. These relationships on most occasions help teachers to better understand the students. This will now enable the teachers to become better equipped and able to adjust their teaching style to suit the students learning. In relation to this an effective teacher must be able to thing outside the box and show creativity as there is no one particular way to teaching say for e.g. in my practicum class my lecturer prefers to teach without the use of power points and speak from the top of her head whereas in my psychology class it is a completely different scenario. In teaching you discover that all children learn differently thus one must be able to utilize different strategies to reach each student. Thus, teachers are required to become creative and
According to your reading, what are the characteristics of effective teachers? What qualities do effective teachers possess?
Devoted teachers are extremely important to a perfect education. The teacher is just about the most important of the three parties necessary to create a model education. Teachers have the responsibility of forming good relationships with both students and parents. Teachers must also be able to effectively communicate with both parents and students in order to ensure that there are no misconceptions or confusions about the children's educations. A good teacher is aware of any special needs that certain children may have and is able to help those children adjust to the curriculum accordingly. Although it may seem obvious, teachers need to be patient and empathetic when dealing with his or her students. The vast majority of teachers already possess these qualities. Many students, however, have complained of teachers that appear to have "no time" for their students. Teachers with an unenthusiastic attitude relay a negative feeling back to their students and that can create problems in the classroom. As mentioned earlier though, people usually won't become teachers if they are uninterested in providing an excellent education to their students.
In my life I have had many great teachers. There are two teachers that come to mind when thinking about master teachers. One of those is Mrs. Hansen, my seventh

An occupation where changing the lives of students and adults around you, Teaching your knowledge to others in a way that is knowledge changes over as persuasive and faultless, it’s an amazing thing tool all in itself.
