I don’t know much about it, but I think I could use the prescribed equivalent to a 47 year old male Hispanic, trying to deal with his heredity traits passed down from Euro-Iberian (32%) to Native American (24.5%), and even the 2.7% Neanderthal in me. I only wish I could have dedicated the time and energy this class really deserved. Unfortunately, due to my emotional self, back in the late 80s and 90s, I made some very poor, highly emotional decisions that kept me from understanding that in the instant gratification society, he who falls victim of his own lack of control will perhaps wake up decades later with a thirst for self-realization, and self-understanding. This class has answered so any questions, and yet, has stimulated my mind to ask so many more.

In a moment an unwise choice can completely derail your best developed goals or rather a wise decision can get you out of the murkiest of situations with ease. Now making a choice comes with responsibilities. The choices you make will affect not only you but also the people around you. At a personal level the things which drive our decisions are our emotions, our memories and our reasoning. At an organisational level it is always weighed according to the pros and cons of the decision.
Decision Making Insights. I will be most successful when I have all the information necessary for decision-making, as my dominant cognitive styles are planning and knowing. This approach does not leave room for ambiguity and stifles flexibility and creativity. Consequently, I thrive in established organizations that value hierarchy, procedures, and open communication, because they assist my natural cognitive processes. (Pearson Education, 2016)
Facing a situation, you have to decide. For example, the fire surrounds you: What do you do? Jump through the windows and risk to kill yourself or to wait the firemen and risk to be burned to death if they come to late? Every decision that we make or don’t make shapes our future. Everyone tries to make good decisions. However, it is easy to overlook an important factor, miss a desirable option, or base the decision on unreliable information. In addition, fear of making a wrong choice can cause someone to postpone decisions, leading to miss opportunities. A businessperson must have the ability to make decisions under the pressure of time and circumstances. This ability needs a good knowledge of the decision making process.
Making decisions is really much more complicated than it seems. When I make decisions, my Id, Ego, and Superego decide my fate. Unfortunately for me, my Id wins far too often, as I often do not study enough. Other personality traits, such as my tendency to over-think and analyze too many things, also play a role. This can influence my other behaviors by making me seem cold and distant with others because I’m too busy thinking. My self-concept is also important.
In my current stretch as a soft skill trainer with school, college, MBA students corporate, organizations, Bankers now Patients care and Opd's I particularly discovered the greater part of them are completely mindful of the Hard skills however soft skills left to be needed in many. The Lack of fearless Communication, Low confidence, listening, inconsistent way to deal with work looms very large among them. It required huge readiness in driving them on the highlights of soft
Applying these aspects of emotional intelligence has a significant enhancing effect on every aspect of life. It allows one to be self aware, improving the ability to process information about oneself accurately (Goleman, 2008). Emotional intelligence also affects management of mood in that it enhances one’s ability to manage emotions, create moods of positivity, and defuse bad moods. Emotional intelligence also comes in handy with regards to motivation of self. It increases an individual’s ability to overcome frustration, the ability to be persistent, ability to engage in tasks that are boring, but necessary, and to be involved in and cut out productive and non-productive actions respectively.

Actually, successful people achieve their goals in life and work through effective and efficient decision making.
