my high school goal, will be the first step, to completing goals. My journey will start with this first step. With every goal I complete, will give me the strength to continue to make other steps, toward my successful life. The more goals I complete, will help me grow and build up my self-esteem. This will help me to stay focused and encourged, and I will be able to forge ahead. I hope to one day, find that special girl and be able to settle down and have a family. I would like to teach my children what my Mom taught me. Love, repect and the purpose of life, and most of all, God! Having my high school diploma means that I am walking one step closer to my goals, helping me to have the opportunity to get a college degree, which will help me to land that perfect job, that will support me and one day my family. Life is what we make of it, and I want to make my life, a very successful one. I will put into it, whatever it takes to make my life happy. Happy to me means, that I have successful goals. The feeling of love, from that special girl, and someone to share hopes, dreams and success with a family to share with. I don't expect millions, but no one said, "I can't shoot for that goal either", so I will, but happiness begins with love, not money. My successes depends on my determinations throughout life. I am determined to be successful throughout my life. I have many skills in which I can choose from.
I have computer skills, automotive skills, and electrician skills. I also know other skills in which I can utilize for a job, like selling, communication skills, customer relations. Having my high school diploma means that I have more job opportunities and having this step behind me as finished. I look forward to utilizing my high school diploma on my resume', and being able to get a very successful job due to this completion in my life. I do have a lot of options to pick from. I could get a job in a low position, with the advancement to receive company paid schooling and receive a degree free. I could then get a pay raise and an advancement in the company and rise to the top that way. That may take many years and I may be able to get an on-line college course and receive some neccessary degrees in my career choices. Having my high school diploma will give me the ability to acheive these goals. Following up my high school diploma, I plan on dedicating more time on making more money, by buying, or getting for free, fixing, and then selling for a profit. I've been doing
this on the side to help out, but after I finish with my high school diploma, I can make more time to do this. Then I can look around town to see what my options are, with the different shops around town and see what will be my best option. Well I could have all of my dreams come true and find that perfect job and make good money and live a " happy ever after" life, but I do have reality going on my side. I do expect to work hard and long hours, if I ever want anything good for my life. So I do know finding that perfect job will take time and hard work, but I am dedicated to doing just that, so I know never to give up, and keep striving ahead. Always looking for that next step up to a better life. I know when I start out, it is going to be hard and stressful, but I know I can handle it. I know the true test of time, will tell all. I am going to take this next journey in life, one step at a time and work a little harder everyday to prove myself to people to get ahead in life for myself and my family. Life is what we make of it, and I am going to make my life worth living. Without my high school diploma, I know that a lot of doors will be closed for me and I could not show my true skills and abilities. No one will ever give me a chance, not with so many people out of work these days, with a high school diploma and some college or college graduate. So the importance for me to acheive my high school diploma, is that no doors will be closed to me and I will have the opportunity to acheive all my goals, hopes and dreams. Having my high school diploma means, that the skills I have learned over the years, I can finally show people what I am capable of doing. Being able to utilize my skills to me, is being able to build on what I already know and learn everything I can on learning new skills. The skills that I have learned over the years that I can utilize into a job, is little things like cutting grass. Turning that skill into a lawn care business. Playing with R/C cars, radio controlled cars. Being able to build them from the ground up, gives me the opportunity to have a work shop to help others build their cars. Working on the yard equipment, like the lawn mower, my four wheeler, the weed wacker, I can build a small equipment business, to help others fix the products they have already. My mom taught me throughout the years, that no matter what you learn as a child, you can always utilize it to make money as an adult. She gives me the strength to accomplish things that most people only takes for granted, like playing as a child. I was taught that no matter what you learn you can take it with you forever and build on that information. My mom taught me that the life you make depends on if you take everything you learn and use it in every skill you do. My happiness in life depends on my decisions in life at the start of it. Now that I have my next step in life, with starting a job, a life changing event. My first job, I know, won't be my career job, unless I get lucky, but I'm not counting on that, but whatever I learn from that job, I can take with me. My brother and sisters, have taught me a lot of skills throughout the years. My brother taught me the importantance of making money, and a lot of it. He is just twenty-six and is already successful with money and a life job career. He already owns his own house and just bought a very expensive truck. I'm not trying to brag on my brother, but I am very proud of him and I have learned a lot from him. So for what I take from him, I know I will ake my life a success, if I just get my high school diploma under my belt and I can get started on my next step. My brothers motto, "It's all about the money". Throughout the years of growing up, I have been around a lot of people that taught me to be true to myself, be who I am, and be faithful to myself. These have been the skills I most look for in whatever I do in life. Happiness to myself is the most important thing in life to always hold on to. Being true to myself will keep me happy and I will be able to forge ahead in life. This world can be a crazy one, if you let life bring you down. Staying strong to myself will keep me sane, in whatever path I choose to take. Having my high school diploma for me is very important, because without it, opportunities that should be open to me, will be closed forever. That will make my life harder for me, and I won't be as successful as I really want to be, or what it should be. I need to strive hard every day to make a life, that I can be proud of, and fulfilled from the heart. That is what I think of, when I think of a successful life. So having my high school diploma is the next step to a successful, fulfilling, happy, completed life. That means my future is a success. Holding on to all life experiences, teaches you who you are and what you become in life. My life has had a lot of struggles and downfalls, but I learned from them and know the importantance of making good choices and walking the right path to get to the other side, in one piece and learning the benefits of each experience. Hoping not to make the same mistake again. Sometimes I have made the same choices and had to learn it all over again, like my travels through school. It's been challenging to make the best decisions to get through this step. I am trying to finish and accomplish this step, so I can have a positive success under my belt, sometimes the first step is hardest and this will be the first step to the rest of my life. Figuring out what my next choice will be, will take a little pitfalls, bumps in the road and successes. So I don't expect perfect, just a little happiness in the end. I know whatever choices I make in life, will be the outcome of my life. I want to be successful and happy, so the choices I make has to be beneficial, and the right choices throughout my life. I hope I have learned enough life experiences to make wise decisions to be successful in my life. Taking a little piece of people who has influenced my life the most, taught me how to become me. These people I hold on to, most of all. Their are a lot of people in life, that has influenced me, in positive ways, to become a man. Mom was afraid of not being able to teach me to become a man, so she had help, like asking the neighborhood watch police officer, school officials, close successful friends. This was very good for me. It taught me a lot of who I am, and what mom couldn't, and it gave me time to get out without mom. She's great, but protective. She gets scared for me to easy and says "NO" a lot. So the importance of having my high school diploma can be summed up in a couple words. Time to grow up! Having my high school diploma means, that I have completed my childhood and I'm ready for my next step as an adult. Accomplishing that final step, will start to pave the road to my future. Challenging myself to strive for higher goals and meeting them. Building up my self esteem and growing into a man. Having a good legacy to pass on to my family.
Most people want a lot of job opportunities to choose from well in order to have those opportunities you have to have a diploma or GED. Other people might say that you can still get a good job even without a diploma or GED, most of the time those are low paying jobs at a fast food restaurant. The diploma can get you almost any job because most jobs require you to have a high school diploma or GED. Instead of always being passed by for the good jobs, you’ll have the opportunity to get jobs that are more interesting. Most people who just drop out of high school have a harder time
A high school diploma is important to my future like it is for many individuals who have goals and aspirations to succeed in life. A high school diploma is a foundation for basic education before going to college and it's a great accomplishment not too many people get to have. With a high school diploma many educational and professional opportunities will be available to me. I'll have better long term economic outcomes than individuals who do not have a high school diploma.
Is it necessary to have a college degree before having the opportunity to experience the dream career of your choice? Depending on what background you came from, there are different reasons why we go to college. Most of us go due to career change/job position, increase our intellect/knowledge, not to be stigmatized, playing as a role model either to our children or even someone that we care of. In his essay, “A College Education: What Is Its Purpose?” Andrew DelBanco mentioned the three reasons college still matters which are: Economic (A college degree has replaced the high school diploma as “the minimum requirement into the skilled labor market.”), Opportunity (Our democratic form of government requires an educated
How important is a college education? High school seniors should consider going to college because students who gain a college education often have higher lifetime earnings and a great quantity of other benefits. There are more employers who choose to hire applicants with college degrees. People who lack college degrees are more likely to be limited to basic jobs. Those with a high school education may obtain jobs with good benefits, but college graduates often earn better. Although going to college costs a lot, it is actually true that high school seniors should go to college because they’ll learn more skills that can be applied to their jobs and they’ll have much more benefits while having a career.
Without the diploma, chances of getting hired decrease. However; today, to be successful in a prestigious career, having a high school diploma is not enough. In addition to it, one needs to at least have an associate’s degree. Some people even get a second degree, which significantly increases the chances of success and better employment. In order to be viable for the company, having personal goals, as well as other needed skills such as knowledge of foreign languages, computer skills etc., is not enough. In my opinion, it is worth getting a higher education compared to self education. Self education or no education does not give the necessary skills that become useful to people in the future. Nowadays, anyone can take a private crash course in a particular area where the subject is taught by an experienced teacher. Nonetheless, some people in their early seventeen-eighteen years already planning to open their own business in the future, clearly understanding that they won’t be working for
Having a college degree in today’s world is very important because more companies and businesses are requiring that anyone they hire has at least a two-year college degree, which is also known as an Associate 's degree. High school graduates and other people who have had thoughts about going to college should do so because it is getting harder for just a high school graduate to get a job, this is a result of hiring companies and businesses don’t want anyone without a college degree. Having a college degree will open more opportunities for the future. By doing so they further their lives and create a future that they want.
While in high school, all you hear is people asking questions such as what college are you planning to attend once you’ve graduated, and what are you planning on majoring in, assuming you are going. Although, what if you do not want to go straight to college once you have graduated high school? What if the student’s want to wait, should you still push high school students to go to a university even though they do not wish to attend a college? High schools advertise institutions of higher education and make it sound like the only option available and if you, the student, choose not to do it you are put down or are made to feel as if you are not as good as other students that are going to a four-year college. By filling
How they are working to make higher education cheaper and why higher education is important.
Vocational and technical schools offer these people a second chance at finding the career that they will love. According to fifty-year-old Jeff Martinelli, “For a guy like me, with no college, it’s become pretty bleak out there” (qtd. by Egan 106). Martinelli spent most of his life operating heavy machinery at Kaiser Aluminum until it shut down a few years ago. He started working there right out of high school and didn’t pursue any further education. Now, he has no certification and no degree. It is nearly impossible to find a good job without either a degree or certification. Vocational schools offer people like Martinelli a second chance. He can take just one year and do a program at a technical school to get a certificate. With that certificate, he will be able to provide for his family again. At a technical school, they don’t just have young people straight out of high school. According to Fox Business, interest in vocational schools spans high school students, 4-year school graduates, and people who want to improve their skills or switch careers. That means that everyone has a chance to get the job that they are passionate about, no matter what their previous
My brother just turned eighteen and has decided to quit school to find a job. He has yet
The purpose of a high school education is to prepare one for college and ultimately, the workforce. By the end of freshman year, in high school, the average student has learned a sufficient amount of material in enough subjects that he or she can be considered "well-rounded" in his or her studies. This is because the rate at which material is covered in schools, across the nation, has increased dramatically compared to the past. Students now learn more advanced curriculum at a younger age, and this continues to become more evident year after year. High school has now become more focused on teaching students a small amount of information on several essential subjects, rather than having them focus deeply on the subjects they seek to pursue in their career.
The completion of high school is the beginning of adult life. Entitlement to public education ends, and young people and their families are faced with many options and decisions about the future. The most common choices for the future are pursuing vocational training or further academic education, getting a job, and living independently.
Why is college education important? College education is important because someone who has graduated and attained a degree will make more money over their life than someone who just has their high school diploma. For example, a person who has their bachelor’s degree can earn up to $30,000 more than someone who just has a high school diploma (College Education). This is mainly due to the fact that having a college degree presents a wider range of opportunities and job availability. Since the mid-1980s, bachelor degree holders took home an average of 38% more than those without a degree (Education). If you put that into perspective, those with a degree could expect to earn $2.1 million over their lifetime, those without could expect to earn much less, just $1.2 million (Education). In today’s job sector...
To find employment, the quality of jobs we get generally goes up according to how much college education we have. There are employment opportunities for individuals with and without a degree. However, with a degree, it is possible to explore more options and create a better future. While there are employment opportunities for those who do not have a college degree, earning a degree it important because it opens the door to gainful employment, allows one to negotiate benefits, and helps one remain employed.
As the late Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” When it comes to the topic of higher education and if it is worthwhile, strong opinions come into play. Many people believe that higher education is valuable because there are undeniable benefits from the time put forth in college and beyond. On the other hand, some people also believe that college is not for everyone, and all career paths do not require a college degree. Higher education is a valuable tool from which the benefits can been seen in future salaries, personal growth, and in opportunities that arise.
