Everything changes - the seasons, friends, goals, dreams, and so much more. It’s understandable to believe that not everything changes, but when you look back on your life you realize change is what got you to where you are today. It has been said, “If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies”. * * * * * * The cars drive in a line across town, a long black car already there. The other cars go around to meet the end of it. I am holding over two dozen red roses with a few white ones mixed in. I step out of the car, the cold air kissing my cheeks. My fingers are already tingling. Seven men in black slacks, white button ups, and suspenders stand near the black vehicle, slowly we all make our way near the pile of dirt. The …show more content…
He is my best friend. I look at him and know that our friendship is different than any other I have ever had. He doesn’t just talk to me when we are in class, but finds me in the hall and runs into me just so I will give him my full attention. At least that is how he used to be. I would still drop everything for that boy, but he cares a little less as each day goes on. I sat in my car after his games with him, in front of his apartment discussing life and all the goals we planned to achieve over the next four years. Soon he got a girlfriend and it all began to change. He is never around, he has restrictions on talking to me, and he barely sings anymore. He used to be independent and his smile shining brightly for the entire world to see, but now he walks with his head down and a grimace takes shape on his …show more content…
This change comes to those who choose to further their education, but by being at this level it does get a little lonely. Yes, there are a bunch of students making this transition, but that doesn’t mean everyone is walking in your shoes. I sit alone drowning in my thoughts. I want things to be the same, for people to talk to me or come to me with problems, but in college it is not that way. Everyone is drowning their thoughts into that twelve-ounce beer can rather than pouring their words into the ears of their friends. I know that someday they will grow up, but what about changing now. Education is important and blacking out almost every night is not helping. My thoughts wander and I long to find someone who doesn’t like to drink or party all the time. I’ve changed, but the real question is when will the rest of the world change? * * * * * * Change can be chaotic, unpredictable, and inevitable. Although some people spend their entire lives avoiding change and going through the same routine I embrace change with a smile. If everything stayed the same then my life would be so much different. Without change this would limit personal development and success and there would be no need to have goals in life. Change is not just an action, but it is the consequences of actions. Change comes from loving someone and being let down, going somewhere new, saying goodbye to someone you love, and above
Life is constantly changing, like clouds in the sky; always shifting and turning. People never really know which way life will turn next, bringing them fortune or failure. When you look at how things change it is best to compare it to something that you can relate it to. The changeable nature of life can be related to the novel 'The Bean Trees.' This is a book written almost entirely on dealing with changes in the characters lives.

...ny one individual. You might ask three people what their personal definition of change is and receive three different answers. Some people offer very little resistance to change, they consider it the spice of life; it prevents stagnancy and maintains excitement through diversity. Some people view change like the U.S. viewed Russia during the cold war, as an inevitable threat that we must constantly monitor and prepare for. Other people react to change like an ostrich reacts to danger. They just stick their head in a hole and pretend it doesn't exist. Change is constantly happening all the time to everyone in someway or another. Whether or not change is accepted does not alter the fact that it exists however the way you accept change can alter the way you exist.
Change is can be evaluated by the effects that it has on the major parties involved. It tends to happen when there is frustration and discontent with the present state of things. Therefore, it will push us to our personal best by causing us to learn from the change as well as our mistakes. It is the changes that we undergo that help us to effectively evolve into our new paths and a better self. Both change models help individuals go through the process of transformation by helping them to acknowledge their feelings and the internal and external factors that can influence the change permanently. The most recent change that I have intentionally made was the decision not to coach past a three year commitment to Rush club soccer. This decision
In order to examine this issue thoroughly, an individual must carefully analyze the meaning of change. Change signifies the act or instance of making or becoming different. Change is something that presses us out of our comfort zone (Webb). People fear change because of the “unknown.” What this means exactly is that people fear their own abilities to cope with whatever is coming up next. Fear of change and fear of the unknown are related because they both mean moving into unfamiliar territory. When people are comfortable with a certain situation, they tend to shy away from other situations. As a result, this creates distinctive psychological reasons why individuals begin to stay clear of change.
We all eventually reach a crossroad in life that causes us to make a decision regarding some type of change. The question then becomes how you will handle the change. Will you willingly accept it or will you resent and resist the change? Over the years I have learned it is better to find a way to adapt to the changes
My whole life, I have been presented to a single element called change. Change occurs in many different forms and is carried out in many different ways. However, just recently, I have come to the realization that change can be the deepest of all subjects. I always assumed that change occured when you moved to a new town or when you lost someone close to you. Those are elements to change, yes, but change doesn't have to occur over a single dramatic event. It can just happen overnight when your brain determines it's time to do something different.
Adapting to change I find is worthwhile in my eyes. I can see myself grow from what I learn and see by working on myself and change the way I use to think about the word change. I’m discovering that change is good for everyone, it breaks up the normal grove that everyone is in making the discover and learn how to adapt to change. The question that I’m going to ask myself is, am I the right person to reach my goal? You bet! I’m going to take the time and work on myself on how to deal with the fact that everything around me is bound to
There are many things that can cause a significant change in someone’s life. Things can change someone’s life in an instant, while some will slowly change someone’s life over time. Some changes are for the better, and some can be for the worse. In stories like the Outsiders and A Christmas Carol: Scrooge and Marley, we had seen the characters’ lives change throughout the story. Some of the main things that can change someone’s life are moving, a close person to you dying, the people around you, and the events that happen.
In life, change is unavoidable. Les Brown once said, “Change is difficult, but often essential to survival.” This means it’s hard to deal with the changes that happen around us, but they’re important because they let us move forward with our lives. I agree with this statement because I’ve experienced things that made me realize the truth of this quote. The first occurrence is when I had to leave America to go the Philippines. The second one is when I had to leave the Philippines and go back to America.
Change can have many meanings. It is going from “same” to “different”. Change can be defined as an event that occurs when something passes from one state or phase to another and as a process of transition. The forces of change affect attitudes, beliefs and behavior. Not a single moment goes by when everything in our lives will remain the same. When you become adjusted to your surroundings, something changes again. Changes can affect both individuals and groups. Throughout our lives we go through many changes, especially in adolescence.
Firstly, some people are afraid to change because they are afraid to meet challenges. This point is like a hot potato for this problem. They assume that something new will change their life totally. Maybe, they think that they may lose a relationship with a loved one to their work, or miss their kids’ big moments. Maxwell (2012) stated “It’s easy to have a great attitude when things are going our way; everybody can do that. It’s when difficult challenges rise before us, and the attitude within us rises to overcome those problems, that attitude becomes the difference-maker. Unfortunately, it’s more common for our attitude to fall short of rising to life’s challenges.” For example, everyday a boy always sends his brother to the school by motorcycle. But on the other time, when his father
Thomas Sowell once quoted, “If you have always believed that everyone should play by the same rules and be judged by the same standards, that would have gotten you labeled a radical 60 years ago, a liberal 30 years ago and a racist today.” Rules are introduces through a transformation process of changes. Changes are not meant ride on the back of inevitability, but it can be executed through continuous struggle. Accepting or rejecting rules of today’s society brings forth change, which can be defined as evolution, progress, differentiation, or even development. Abiding by modern day rules can be a bit debate full, I abide by what I believe weather it is to agree or disagree with today’s modern society. A significant amount of people live within unhappy state of affairs and yet will not take the initiative to change their current condition because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind.
In my life, I have been exposed to a challenge called change. Change can occur in many different ways and is dealt with in many different ways. I have come to the awareness that change can be the deepest of all things. I always thought that change occurred when you moved to a state or when you lost someone real close to you. Those are a challenge to change, yes, but change doesn’t have to occur over a climactic incident. It can just appear overnight when your brain winds up when it’s time to do something different. Even with friends that you used to have and know that move on. For example, most of my friends from elementary school, I don’t even talk to them anymore.
