The 2008 Presidential Campaign for Barack Obama was based on the Promise to change the status quo. Life is an ever changing process; the world is ever changing place. Contemporary musical composer and song writer, Quincy Jones wrote a song in 1974 titled “Everything Must Change” and with some degree of certainty, everything must change. I choose this word as my topic for this personal statement/essay because; I have recently experience a crucial life changing moment that has placed me at a crossroad of deciding what my future career should be.
We all eventually reach a crossroad in life that causes us to make a decision regarding some type of change. The question then becomes how you will handle the change. Will you willingly accept it or will you resent and resist the change? Over the years I have learned it is better to find a way to adapt to the changes
you have no way of controlling. Recently, I lost a job that I had been employed at for fifteen years. I must admit at first I was resentful of this life altering change. What are my goals and objectives for seeking a Master of Education? One day I hope to become a teacher certified to teach in the State of Georgia and have the opportunity to share what I have learned and pass it on to my students. I plan on seeking a career with one of the local school districts within Metro Atlanta. I want to challenge the youth of today and encourage them in every aspect of their lives. I think what will be truly exciting about becoming a teacher is not only the opportunity for me to educate others, but I will also be learning constantly from my students. Every time you wake up and begin a new day you are giving yourself a new opportunity to change your future by what you experience and learn. I want students to know no matter what their circumstances are they have the opportunity to change it.
The term change means to become different. People change throughout their life based on their personal actions, decisions, and experiences. This applies to characters in books as well. In the novel The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin, Angela Wexler, Grace Wexler, and Sydelle Pulaski are shown to have changed greatly.
A change is to make or become different. In the Scarlet Letter change is very evident in the main character Hester Prynne. Hester has undergone both physical and emotional changes that have made her more acceptable to the Puritan Society.

Aquinas' change is defined as taking a characteristic of an object out of potentiality into actuality. This can only be accomplished by something that is already in reality. He also states that an object's property cannot be in reality and potentiality at the same time. A pot can be actually hot and potentially cold, but it cannot be both actually hot and potentially hot. Because of this necessity of the object changing to be in reality while the change occurring to be in potentiality that an object cannot change itself.
Change is a word that I have constantly heard throughout my high school years. It is a transformation through which everyone goes whether it's for the better or for the worse. For me the meaning and value of change has helped me to focus on the goals I have to accomplish. For others, it is simply just a phase we go through. All of us here have been able to learn and develop from our changes to be come a better and successful person.
First of all, change happens because sources, mainly people, set the events to make the change happens. For example, desire allows change to occur. This is shown when Zaroff “had no wish to go to pieces.” (Page 6). Due to the fact that Zaroff did not want to grow insane with longing for the experience, he changed how he hunted and began to poach humans. Also, Rainsford’s position changed when he sank and grunted“ a short, hoarse cry came from his lips as he realized he had reached too far and had lost his balance. The cry was pinched off short as the blood-warm waters of the Caribbean Sea dosed over

My whole life, I have been presented to a single element called change. Change occurs in many different forms and is carried out in many different ways. However, just recently, I have come to the realization that change can be the deepest of all subjects. I always assumed that change occured when you moved to a new town or when you lost someone close to you. Those are elements to change, yes, but change doesn't have to occur over a single dramatic event. It can just happen overnight when your brain determines it's time to do something different.

Adapting to change I find is worthwhile in my eyes. I can see myself grow from what I learn and see by working on myself and change the way I use to think about the word change. I’m discovering that change is good for everyone, it breaks up the normal grove that everyone is in making the discover and learn how to adapt to change. The question that I’m going to ask myself is, am I the right person to reach my goal? You bet! I’m going to take the time and work on myself on how to deal with the fact that everything around me is bound to
Working through a transition from the old to the new can also lead to increased confidence and experience.
Change can have many meanings. It is going from “same” to “different”. Change can be defined as an event that occurs when something passes from one state or phase to another and as a process of transition. The forces of change affect attitudes, beliefs and behavior. Not a single moment goes by when everything in our lives will remain the same. When you become adjusted to your surroundings, something changes again. Changes can affect both individuals and groups. Throughout our lives we go through many changes, especially in adolescence.
As a future educator, I have many goals. My first goal would be to never overpower my students. Being a teacher should not be a job, it should be a passion. I will focus my classroom around the student’s needs, rather than my own. The classroom will revolve around the students. I will be their guiding hand through education. Another goal of mine is to have the students interact in a positive way. Social interaction is very important. As students combine with peers they share knowledge and learn how to solve problems. In the real-world, this what will happen. Whenever I can, I li...
