Change is can be evaluated by the effects that it has on the major parties involved. It tends to happen when there is frustration and discontent with the present state of things. Therefore, it will push us to our personal best by causing us to learn from the change as well as our mistakes. It is the changes that we undergo that help us to effectively evolve into our new paths and a better self. Both change models help individuals go through the process of transformation by helping them to acknowledge their feelings and the internal and external factors that can influence the change permanently. At this point I had to come to terms that I would not be coaching my players any further and would have to step into a parent role. At points this is extremely difficult for me because I am very fond of my players and want to help them excel in the sport. It is difficult at times to let their actual coaches do the coaching, especially when there was a disagreement in coaching philosophy. Coming to terms with these changes seem to be the hardest. During the neutral zone stage, I was trying to get used to my new fond freedom and how that affected and redefined the roles of student and family. At times I found it refreshing to have more available time, and at other times I would find myself restless and bored because I have become overly efficient at multitasking and utilizing my time. I do realize that I needed to relax and give myself time to become adjusted to my newly redefined roles and time commitments. Once I become more comfortable with the new direction of my life, I might start looking into picking up hobbies that I once enjoyed on a regular basis, thus entering the new beginning stage with a newly found sense of excitement and

When you are born people are there to take care of you, love you, and guide you through life. As you grow up and life changes, you must take charge of your own life and not become so dependent on others. Throughout the course of life a person will encounter many changes, whether good or bad. In 'A&P';, 'The Secret Lion';, and 'A Rose for Emily';, the main characters in the stories are Sammy, the boys, and Miss Emily who face changes during their lives. All of these characters are in need of change. Because of their need for change, their lives will become much better. They are filled with wonder and awe about the world around them. No matter what type of person, everyone will encounter changes. It is part of the natural process. A person is encouraged to make these changes for the good. Sammy, the boys, and Miss Emily all encounter changes in their lives that fulfill their need to become something different.
Change is a double-edged sword (Fullan, 2001). Change is a word that might inspire or put fear into people. Leadership is challenging when it comes to dealing with change and how individuals react within the organization to the change. Marzano, McNulty, and Waters (2005) discuss two orders of change in their book School Leadership that Works; first and second. Fullan (2001) also adds to the discussion in his book Leading in a Culture of Change, with regard to understanding change. In Change Leadership, Keagan and Wagner (2006) discuss many factors of change and the systematic approach to change. Change affects people in different ways. Leaders need to be able to respond to the individuals throughout the change process.
As a person one might find that we follow a specific routine on the day to day basis. Sudden changes to these routines feels weird and out of place. In William Faulkner’s “A Rose For Emily” based in a fictional town called Jefferson taking place during the twentieth century. The time period is indeed an important factor because southern tradition was above all of the highest importance. This short story gives the audience details of life during that time in which they followed the values of southern tradition and the importance to never stray away from those traditions. The context of the story is laced with subliminal messages of humanities resistance to change.
Change is a word that I have constantly heard throughout my high school years. It is a transformation through which everyone goes whether it's for the better or for the worse. For me the meaning and value of change has helped me to focus on the goals I have to accomplish. For others, it is simply just a phase we go through. All of us here have been able to learn and develop from our changes to be come a better and successful person.
Change is the only constant in life. And therefore it should be understood as part of a continuing work in progress that calls for a much broader canvas that seeks out competing voices, and works with the resulting ambiguities, contradictions and tensions of messy reality (Graetz, F. & Smith, A., 2010). In this submission I try to show that organizational change is majorly based on the environment surrounding it much more than the desire of the members or change agents working in that organization. This view diverts from that of Lippitt, (1958) who suggests that implementing planned organizational changes successfully depends on premeditated interventions intended to modify the functioning of an organization. It also diverts from the traditional approaches to organizational change that generally follow a linear, rational model in which the focus is on controllability under the stewardship of a strong leader or ‘guiding coalition (Collis, 1998). In this discussion therefore, comparison made between the different philosophies of change and I try to show that successful change implantation largely depends on an organizations appreciation of what goes on around it rather than what they have planned as a strategic direction.
America is a country known for change, whether it is positive or negative. Many people believe that America has made changes that has improved society. One of the greatest advancements was the abolishment of slavery. Other positive changes have been the diversity of America. Many believe that America is the country where one can come to prosper, escape prejudice, and be freed from the chains of racism. What people fail to realize that America was created by prejudice and racism. Slavery was abolished, but we must not forget the suffering of the African Americans. The struggle and exploitation that Asian, Hispanic, Latin, European and other immigrants had to face. Has America truly changed?
Organizations do not change, people do (Sullivan and Decker, 2009). A manager’s responsibility is to manage people. Change is difficult for most people and managing through the change process is not an easy task. Many theories on managing change exist, but they basically have four elements: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation (Sullivan & Decker, 2009). A manager’s role is to examine each of these elements and apply them to the people that he or she leads.
Whenever I perceive change to be necessary the words of one of my past professors rings in my ears, “Stop the world and fix it”, a motto that I have stood by many times as a form of encouragement to ignite change in myself or my environment. In my professional and personal life, I view and respond to change as a way to make improvements to existing regulations and circumstances. I embark upon the quest with determination to succeed at whatever task is presented to me. Life without change can become unchallenging and stagnant (Marquis & Huston, 2012).
