The role of research in modern times has great impact and importance because it is not confined to only specific field like applied economics; it has widespread and affected other fields of work like science, business/management, social science etc. Through scientific and inductive thinking which research inculcates, at the same time it also promotes the logical habit of thinking and organization. All together it’s important for a researcher to design methodology, as it differs from problem to problem. For example: an architect should always have an idea on what basis or size the building should be built; on which materials the building should be constructed and many more. similarly, for a researcher decision must be analyzed and evaluated before the design of the methodology. Hence, research methodology is systematic, where methods and principles are used which are theoretically analyzed and applied along with the study or knowledge.
