The government has clearly made efforts with regards to sustaining our country’s natural reserve. Through the policies they’ve implemented to every region in the Philippines, the sustainability of the environment in a certain place can be easily achieved.
Our country's wildlife and natural reserve is now experiencing threats because of the ever growing population of our country. It is also threatened because of the continuous hunting of the said animals whether for commercial or for subsistence use and exploitation of the resources which the environment has. Also, the ignorance of the Filipinos on the great importance those resources have is a threat to our rich ecosystem.
In line with the efforts made by the government to ensure the global competitiveness of the country's economy, policies made for further developments should be environment friendly, especially in the tourism industry which relies heavily on natural attractions.
This gathered data came from a research interview conducted by the researcher to an expert. The expert who has been interviewed was Ms. Joreen Rocamora a Domestic Tourism teacher.
According to Ms. Rocamora, not all of the changes in the environment are caused by the development of the tourism industry. For her, these changes in the environment are mostly coming from people. It is not only coming from the tourism development but also coming from avarices, apathy and arrogance of the people. When they seek for more, when they would want to get more from the environment whether it is coming from the industry of engineering and manufacturing, if one is seeking more from it then, definitely our environment would changed negatively. Second apathy, when one is indifferent, he or she does not care about the...

...e of the natural resources available. Efforts on planning and managing sustainable environment can help in order to prevent the decline in revenue, tourist arrivals and closure of business. He said there is a need to develop and market competitive tourist products and destinations; improve market access connectivity and destination infrastructure; and improve tourism governance and human resources. In this regard, the DOT asks for an additional $5 million in the budget of $10 million— that has not changed for the past five years— for the tourism advertisements and promotions.

One of the key elements of tourism is the quality of the environment, both natural and man-made. Tourism however, can have a negative effect on the environment due to people not caring for the environment because it is not an area where they normally reside, so they do not consider what long-term effects that their temporary actions may have. Tourism that is not regulated or controlled can lead to negative environmental impacts on air, water, soil, vegetation, and wildlife quality and sustainability.
While the human population continues to grow so does the need for land to contain the growth. In man’s attempt to fulfill this need we find that we are encroaching on lands used for diverse wildlife and plant-life. The problem comes from the fact that when man moves into these new areas he usually takes over and in the process damages or destroys ecosystems that were in place. This loss of ecosystems equates to the loss of animal species and also plant species. This is happening in our world at an alarming rate. One issue that should be sending up a big red flag is that no one knows how the loss of these plants and animals is going to affect our planet. Luckily there are groups established such as the World Heritage Group which work to preserve these areas and unique ecosystems along with their plant and animal life. One such place is the Belize Barrier Reef platform which lies on the Atlantic-Caribbean coast of Belize. The Reserve was inscribed as a natural World Heritage property in 1996 and belongs to the Central American biogeographically province. It is made up of the following areas: Bacalar Chico National Park and Marine Reserve, the northernmost part of Ambergris Caye, the west area of Chetumal Bay, Laughing Bird Caye National Park, Half Moon Caye Natural Monument, Blue Hole Natural Monument, Glover’s Reef Marine Reserve, South Water Caye Marine Reserve and Sapodilla Cays Marine Reserve. As you can see this is a vast area encompassing many places it is good to see that all of these places are now under government and civilian protection. (www.eoearth.org)
Tourism impacts can be generally classified into seven categories with each having both positive and negative impacts. These impacts include; economic, environmental, social and cultural, crowding and congestion, taxes, and community attitude. It is essential for a balance on array of impacts that may either positively or negatively affect the resident communities. Different groups are concerned about different tourism impacts that affect them in one way or another. Tourism’s benefits can be increased by use of specific plans and actions. These can also lead to decrease in the gravity of negative impacts. Communities will not experience every impact but instead this will depend on particular natural resources, development, or spatial patterns (Glen 1999).
New Zealand tourism is largely reliant on 'Eco-tourism' so to maintain the tourism industry it is imperative that our environment is conserved. However tourism itself can have negative effects on the environment. The tourism sector must act responsibly in its use of the environment and any use must be sustainable.
Although, the author could have benefited from the incorporation of these outside resources into his piece, the Anthropogenic focus of conservation and the romanticized ideal of national parks is still highlighted and credible through other literature. In the article, Solheim interprets the data released by the Protected Planet Assessment of 2016. He presents the data with a minimal bias and challenges the traditional public views of conservation to bring to light underlying issues of management.
3. Government support: The government has realized the importance of tourism and has proposed a budget of Rs. 540 crore for the development of the industry. The priority is being given to the development of the infrastructure and of new tourist destinations and circuits. The Department of Tourism (DOT) has already started the "Incredible India" campaign for the promotion of tourism in India.
Their success is due to a nationwide initiative to stop illegal poaching at both the local and national levels. One of the reasons this initiative has been so successful is because parks and ecotourism have developed to benefit local communities through employment and shared revenue. This has made the local people value local wildlife more alive than dead. This is important, because the article demonstrates how conservation strategies must be enacted on a local level to succeed. It is not enough to ask people to conserve wildlife for the sake of conservation.

There is no proper definition of the word “developing countries”. The reason for this is that many analysts believe that the word “developing countries” does not require a proper definition as they are mostly known as third world countries. Basically, countries that do not have high quantity of economic movement in demand to propose the obligatory resources for the broad majority of the people to disguise slight requirements of use to guarantee good settings of health, food, education, lodging and amenities are known as developing countries (Mowforth, & Munt, 2015). The notion is linked to fairness, circulation of revenue, and identical prospects. Some of the indicators of developing countries are high proportion of redundancy, high proportion

We talked about the first type which is the economic effect on the local community and the second type that is the social effect on the host community. In this part of our essay we will represent the last kind of effect on the local community by tourism. It is the environment effect on the local community. Tourism has positive and negative aspects in term of its impact on the host community. First point, tourism can help to protect the environment through reinvest some of profits, that generated by tourism, to the preservation of local environment and make it popular destination for holidays. However, it can cause pollution and damage in the environment through overuse of natural resources, such as water supply, beaches and coral reef. It also account for increased pollution through traffic emissions and littering. Additionally, tourist accommodations in general dump waste and sewage into seas and rivers. Second point, it might reduce some problems such as over-fishing by creating another source of employment. According to Tourism Concern, tourism account for more than eight per cent of jobs in the world wide and there are approximately two hundred million people work in the tourism sector on all sides of the world. (Tourism Concern, 2004). As a result a lot of people will abandon works in fishing and deforestations and tend to works in tourism industrialization. On the adverse side, it can harm the environment through polish off grass cover, harmful to wildlife and forests and grave local habitats. (BBC,
In recent years, tourism marketing has gone through strategic changes with the improvement in new technologies, the chase of a relationship between customers and suppliers as well as the importance of sustainability issues in marketing. Marketing Tourism reconsiders the needs of the tourists but does not overlook on the long term economic, environmental, social and cultural interests of the local population. So, it means that marketing consider both the tourist demand and effect to society as
In conclusion, natural resources are required to complete the psychological need of human. Conservation and preservation of the natural resources is essential for maintaining its sustainability. Here the role of NGOs in maintaining our natural resources, such as implement awareness campaign, conserve and ensure the sustainable use of natural resources and emphasize the usage of eco-friendly equipment are the way or protective measures that can decrease the depletion of natural resources. As a community that care about our resources, we need to rethink before doing something that could deplete our natural resources and endangered environment. NGOs as well as society must work together to fulfil their responsibility to conserve, protect, and care for the natural resources for the next generation.
One of the most essential things for tourism to be successful in a particular place is a quality of the environment both natural and man-made. However the tourism industry involves doing many activities that have a negative effect on the environment.
