No matter who you are or where you live you will always at some point face a personality clash. A personality clash is when two or more people disagree on a matter due to the fact that they have different personalities. Some people get along and some do not get along at all. This doesn’t apply to all people although some are like this. Some personalities go well together and at the same time others don’t.
Personality clashes can be very intense. The reason why is because the two party’s firmly believe they are right and the other is wrong. This can be a serious problem in the work place. The issue can cause the two workers to neglect their work. How? You might ask. Well the answer is quite simple. If the two workers are angry or emotionally corrupted it can cause him or her to lose focus. The best way to solve a problem is compromise.
I am an INFJ and proud of it. To put the personality type into one word protector would fit perfectly. INFJ means: Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging. Introvert means: reserved. Intuitive means: knowing by instinct. Feeling means: a physical or mental sensation. Judging means: giving informed opinion. Many people say that INFJ is the most annoying personality type. This is not true. The reason why people believe this is because people judge too quickly. In my opinion, INFJ’s are perfectly different.

What do you think I would do? I would say no thanks I am busy. I can imagine the looks on their faces. They would think I was trying to be better than them or something like that. The reason why I would avoid them in the first place. What happens next is obvious, they start treating me differently (as if I didn’t already know that), and when I say differently I mean badly. For me this is really annoying. The coworkers start to whisper loud enough so I can her yet quiet enough to where I can’t understand what they are saying. Let’s say a problem of some sort pops up and the boss puts me in charge of solving it. I will count on sabotage and by who I already know is my coworkers.
The NFs temperament is described as a friendly person that is always thinking about how to make other people happy. Also, the person tries to maintain conflict away from his/her life by keeping morale high in the group and nurturing self-image in his/her family members. Furthermore, is important to maintain friends, family, and colleagues part of the circle, so no one feels left out. According to Kiersey (1998), “Myers saw her fellow NFs as ‘humane’ and ‘sympathetic’-as ‘enthusiastic’ and ‘religious’- as ‘creative’ and ‘intuitive’- and as ‘insightful’ and ‘subjective’” (p. 19). For example, NFs like to maintain a friendly environment, so he/she uplifts the self-esteem of other people.
In several occasions, conflict occurs in the communication of one or two people. Several people have thought of conflict as cases involving pouring of furious anger in a communication process. Nonetheless, conflict is the misinterpretation of an individual’s words or values (Huan & YAzdanifard, 2012). Conflict can also be due to limited resources in an organization (Riaz & Junaid, 2010). Conflict may as well arise due to poor communication or the use of inappropriate communication channel of transmission of information between the involved parties. Management of conflict has various conflict management styles that include avoidance style, forcing style, passive-aggressive style, accommodating style, collaborating style and compromising style. Workplace conflict comes in two different kinds: task involving conflict, which focuses on the approaches used in resolving the problem and blaming conflict that has the aspects of blame and never brings element of resolving problems between the conflicting parties. In the perception of several individuals, relationship conflict is negative.
INFJs are the least common amongst the Myers-Briggs personality types. Because of this and their multifaceted nature, they are often the most misunderstood. As an INFJ, I intend to clarify some of the more complex aspects of this personality, specifically in the business environment. If managed poorly, conflict can be destructive to the team. Theorists have labeled this type of conflict as “A-Type Conflict or affective conflict” (Amason, Hochwarter, Thompson & Harrison 1995, p. 24). “A-Type Conflict” is the result of a team member’s personal feeling about another team member rather than an issue and has a negative effect on the team. I ended up receiving INFJ (the rarest personality type [1% of the human population!]!), so I was pretty stoked about that. Specifically I was 79% introverted, 88% intuitive, 75% feeling, and 71% judging. Not to mention, I was up there with the greats: MLK, Nelson Mandela, Morgan Freeman, Goethe, and last but *certainly* not least, Jon Snow, so I feel that I definitely deserve INFJ bragging rights. Before taking the Myers-Briggs Interactive Test, I didn’t really know what to expect or what kind of questions I would be answering in order to determine what my personality type would be. Afterwards however, I wasn’t too surprised with my results of the test. Out of the sixteen different personality types, I got the INFJ personality type which simply means dominant introverted intuition. All of those letters were pretty self-explanatory and accurate according to how my temperament and personality are. The statistical conclusion was 67% introvert (I), 38% intuitive (N), 50% feeling (F), and 56% judging (J). Therefore I had a distinctive preference of introversion over extraversion, a moderate preference of intuition over sensing, a moderate preference of feeling over thinking, and a moderate preference of judging over perceiving.
